Bushcraft Folder: EnZo Birk 75 Redesigned

I've been carrying the older version in D2 with Birch scales for almost a year. It's a great EDC. I disagree with you on dual studs. I like the left hand capability.

Hey guys, i was wondering if you could give me a recomendation on handle and blade steel. Handle is between birch and g10. I like the rounding of the g10 but the look of the birch.

I find the G10 very visually appealing but a tad slick while opening the knife. I got the S30V and am very happy with it thus far.

I myself find it very visually appealing also, but i do like the unique look of the birch. I would want the wood to be darker though

I haven't measured the handle on my older model, but is the new handle any thinner? The first model in CF is chunky in the pocket.
I never use a clip, so that came off immediately.

And just for good measure here are a few more.

What is the knife second from the top?

That is the Entrek USA Forester. I did a video review of the knife a while back.

Is the Enzo a ton better than the Vantage. That is my current EDC. Big one for at home and weekends, small one for the office. Though, I have switched out both handles with the dymondwood ones from the Vantage Avids. I prefer the look of the wood.

The problem with the large vantage is that the blade is a tiny bit too big for the general public normally. They get kinda freaked out. Granted, I'm a 6'6" 230lbs guy pulling out a 3.25" blade...that might account for some of the strange looks I get. Lol.

The Birk has my ideal blade length. How is it on the pocket? Is the handle obtrusive at all?

The clip gives a very deep ride. Because it is bright silver color, the clip is noticeable, but not the knife - unless you know its a knife clip.

I would not say it is a ton better. The fit and finish is better. The steel is the same as the Buck Vantage Pro (s30v). I prefer the style and the blade grind.

It rides well In the pocket I forget it is there most of the time. It really boils down to preference. If I got another one it would be the full flat grind version. I think it would make a wicked slicer.

I had a Birk briefly, for some reason it didnt jive with me. I really cant say why. I got the g10 version. I really really wanted to like it, for some reason it didnt workout so I ended up returning it. The search goes on for the great edc. I still carry my Vantage all the time, I think I may be partial to the Hollow grind. Also love the small flipper. I think that if the birk had both of those i would be set with my perfect knife. The fit and finish on it were amazingly pristine and clean. I liked it a lot but there was something about it that didnt click.

I may end up snagging another one at some point though, i do like the look of the curly birch one. I am partial to wooden handles, it's that nature geek in my.

By the way, I love the youtube videos RedBeard! You have inspired me to try and start doing my own, I just need to get a camera for it now. I am also an avid outdoorsman.

Has anyone seen the newer CF model with a full flat ground blade?

I've only seen the older model with ffg and can only find the newer model with a scandi blade.
