Bushcraft Knife challenge - Interest?

So far, it looks as if Gene's knife clearly rises to the top of the bunch.

Rick

Somehow Rick,
I dont think that was the metaphor implied:D

Wow, this is really cool, those are some sick knives...I like em all!
Tony, we still cool bro, but tell Marcelo, I like my banana's on PB&J sammies...thats the best way to eat them.

Cody, if Tony doesn't mind, send it in! PM me and I'll send you my address.

Gene, I'm just being a goof. Although I do kind of like the juxtapositions created there; in color and texture.

Thanks fellas, I'll get her wrapped up, and sent. I appriciate you allowing me to jump in a little late. Marcelo, PM incoming.

Can we enter 2 knives? Just kidding. This is my 6th knife I just finished today. Still need to make a leather sheath. 1095, 4" blade 7 3/4 " overall, barbwire micarta handle with black liners. Next project is gonna be a small knatchet for myself.:)

Cant wait to see these things get dirty.

All the knives look great fellas.

"man.. nice work.. that's another great looking knife.. keep it up.. "

Thanks man. It is awesome to have one of my knives in the same competetion as all the ones in this thread.

All the knives have a great character to them as well.

My wife just frowns at my knife obsession but when I showed her the pic of all the entries and asked which she liked the best, it was yours she picked !!!

Maybe I should make some small versions for the ladies.:)

Arent you the one who designed the knatchet? I love the design and I am about to make a small one (9" overall length) for myself . Ill post when I am done, if it doesnt turn into a disaster. One question, do you like a scandi grind for a knatchet or a convex?

Another great looking knife, night man. As far as the knatchet, I'd go for a convex. But that is just me.

No worries...I was ready for some food prep pics when I first saw it..then the juxtaposition sank in.:D

I feel a convexed grind is perfect for a do-it-all tool like the Knatchet. Mine slices food and makes fine wood shavings as good as any knife in my collection but still holds up to chopping hard woods. I wouldn't like to chop hard with a Scandi grind, JMO !;)

Be sure to let me know how yours comes out !
