Bushcraft Knife challenge - Interest?

I'm getting a little worried about Tonym and all this macho steel he is going to be exposed to....I don't know, too much steel for a man to take? Not really any doubts about BigMike....Marcelo, well we all had some doubts...and Tonym......Tonym has that fetish for thin knives that cut.....What might the consequences of this contest be???

Has anybody really thought about the repercussions? What if BigMike actually starts liking 4-5" knives? Oh my lord!!!!!!!!

Whatever happens to TonyM, is OK with Marcelo.;)
All I know, is I hope these 2 love birds are out testing some knives today...I dont think its raining in CT right now. :p

I'm so tired of hearing this... thin knives that cut... fooey. If I wanted to cut something I'd bring a SAK. Real knives are for digging, prying and chopping.

Mike seems like a sensible guy... so I can't see that happening.

Rick:p:thumbup:

I think I actually agree with Rick on this. I should see if I have the flu or something now. :p

Don't forget that I love my RC-5 which is 1/4" thick and cuts great thanks to the edge Big Mike put on it.

I never realy pry with knives, but I will make an exception for Rick's knife since he says that is what they are made for.

You can worry about me all you want, but at the end of the day this "Macho steel" won't stop me from taking long walks at sunset while listening to Barry Manilow

And the hits just keep on coming...
This is the best thread in WSS ever!

Tony, just busting chops bro..your the man, manilo or not.

Rick - Stanley makes a tool for that.....it's called the FUBAR:D:

Best question yet:thumbup:

I think we will post results after all the knives have been tested. Unless the majority here would like to see results as soon as each knife is tested.

But that would mean you will have to go searching back and forth through out the thread to see how a particular knife did.

If you guys choose us to post all at once after we tested all the knives. I promise to drop in with in use pics and a video here and there to keep you happy as you wait for results.

It's your call.

Big Mike, Marcelo, maybe Riley and I are planning on doing 6 knives tomorrow.

We will test in the order they were recieved. So the guys who have had their knives with us the longest can get their knives back. I know Scott Gossman gave me his knife in October, and I want to get his back to him ASAP.

I think all at once is best, in a new thread, possibly. Like the Camp Knife Challenge. That was a good solid read-through, and had all the info grouped together.

That is exactly where all the results will go.

There.... fixed it for ya, no charge.;)

As for thin edges... It looks like Ray L. and Bruce C. had the thinnest (consistant) edges.

All at once on a new thread is what I vote for!
