Using a lesser
knife after an ESEE is like losing your virginity to a porn star.
Anyone have a custom F1 or source for custom handle makers?
Unless, of course, you are looking to spending a nice chunk o' change on someone else's impression of a "bushcraft" knife, in which case, party on without your dinero!
A Mora is a great way to get into bushcrafting the traditional way. That said, "bushcraft" is a mentality really, not a knife. You could certainly get along with pretty much any knife once you learn how to make traps, firesticks, etc.
But if you want a more specialized knife, then get one with a scandi grind. Some are convex, some are flat. They both have their advantages. There are certainly plenty of knifemakers and companies making them...you have a variety to choose from.
This thread is making me jealous!

Another vote for the Bravo 1. I bring one EVERYWHERE I go, it has never let me down. A2 is great - it is tough as nails, then it developes a slight patina and there is no concern about further rust.
If you get something by Bark River, it'll be like realizing that the Porn Star you thought was so hot was actually a worn out skank. BRKT knives are classy and functional...

Beautiful knife buddy, I have always admired the ESEE lines- not sure if it is the look of the knife, the way the company stands behind their product or the fact that they are from Alabama as well that attracts me. Whatever it is I love em and gotta get me one! Right now though I am moving away from larger blades in favor of the more tradtional: Tomahawk, knife with a 4 to 4 1/2" blade and pocket knife/multi tool combo but it is hard to argue with ESEE gear.
