Bushcraft Knife

What a concidence that this thread just got bumped up recently as I finally settled on a knife for bushcrafting just last week. I ended up getting 2 knives. My primary Bushcraft Knife is going to be my BHK Bushcrafter. It's a standard scandi grind w/green micarta scales and a leather dangler sheath. I have an ESEE-6 and a Mora Companion MG in stainless steel. This is the sharpest blade I've purchased out the box. I bought it from Trekker Outdoors who gave me an awesome deal on it ($150./shipped) brand new w/full warranty. I actually took a couple of classes with Phil of TO at the Gathering this summer. I made my decision on it after having handled a couple of them (along with as many knives as I could molest) at Dave Canterbury's 2013 Pathfinder Gathering and fell in love with the BHK and knew it was the one.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread and offered your advice. I really appreciate it and felt
comfortable when I went in for my purchase. I'll post my impressions + pictures of it in use of course soon.

A second bushcrafting knife is going to be a re-purposed Wenger Swiss Stainless Steel kitchen knife that was used as the foundation of a small hunting/skinning blade with handmade handles that I picked up from a knifemaker that I now consider a friend: BT Knives. Specs: Black walnut handles, 1/8" brass pin, 3/16" steel pin, and 1/4" brass pin. Overall length is approx. 6-1/2" long, blade length is approx. 3" long.

I liken it to a Custom Mora. :)

The BHK Bushcrafter fits in perfectly with my own concept of The Nessmuk Trio that I refer to as my Quadri.
Details of how I came about my particular 4lb. tool kit can be seen here: The Yankee Survival Quadri.

BTW guys, BladeForums is the absolute best knife-related forum on the planet.
I've been around the block a couple of times and this is the best place to come
get great information from knowledgeable folks. No BS; just good talk here.

Just my 2 cents, but I've faithfully carried the fallkniven f1 for 5 years now and it has done everything exceptionally well. It was my bushcraft knife before I knew "bushcraft" was a thing.
