And by the looks of what you made me, it was well spent time!!!!!

I took one of my new bushcrafters on a little test drive. I could have done this outdoors but it was much warmer by the wood stove in my shop. This was a well seasoned yellow pine board with assorted knots. I hammered the knife through 4 of those knots (one very large) and split enough kindling for a fire, then using the same edge, I made an attempt to make a fuzz stick ( I am NO expert on fuzz sticks!). Knife handled all of this.
This was a partially finished knife with no handle so I had to wrap the handle in flannal and tape.
I touched the edge up ( two strokes on each side ) with my bench stone and stropped about 4 times each side with leather. The knife then easily slice paper just as it did before my test.
There was a tiny bend in the edge of the blade about 1 inch from the handle, barely visible to the eye. The re-sharpening seemed to take of this.
The 2 x 2 that I used as a baton split apart on the end I was using to strike the knife.
