There is one out there already, but these are the first three offered for sale to the general populous. :) These are the latest of a design I've been tweaking for awhile (type "busk" into the search box if you're interested). I've put a lot of thought and sweat into these blades and their design, so putting these three out has me as nervous as a kid on the first day of school. :o :D

The knife is designed to be an all around heavy-duty camp/combat knife that is comfortable to use for a variety of tasks. The handle is long (about six inches from the butt to the front of the scales) so you can easily chop with it, or choke up for fine work. The choil gives even more room to choke up and it trails into the edge so material won't be caught in it. A checkered thumb-ramp is placed right were your thumb would naturally lay and all edges are smoothed over except for the spine for those of you that like to smack firestarters.

The handles can be removed for cleaning, and possibly for storage if needed -- ( http://bladeforums.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=49629&d=1133873246 ). They are also recessed a bit at the butt to allow for driving in tent stakes or whatnot without damaging the handle scales.

You're probably tired of my ramblings, so I'll get to the point -- the blades are 13 1/2 inches overall out of 1/4-inch L-6. They are gun-koted with flat dark grey and can be sent back to me for recoating free of charge if needed.

Price: $275 with Kydex w/ tek-loc or $290 with leather of your carry choice. Right now I have black kydex, but have OD coming in this month (hopefully ;) ). MO, check, and Paypal are all good with me.

so, without further ado:

From top -- flat-ground with black/grey G-10, flat-ground with green canvas micarta, hollow-ground with black/grey G-10

Thank you very much - the green canvas one is no longer available.

I've personally handled these babies guys, and trust me when I say that they're a hell of a knife for that money! I've watched Michael develop these over the last while, and there's been a ton of changes done that have only improved them each and every time.

The photos, while nice, honestly don't do these knives justice. You just have to feel it in your hand to truly appreciate one.

Oh, and I was there for the 4-foot point-down drop test into concrete that he did on one of these whilst in development...a quick sharpen to remove the bumps in the cutting edge was all that was required to make it good as new! The tip wasn't even blunted! These are some serious tools folks.

Nothing to be nervous about here, Michael! Superb design and steel choice. I'm not in a position to buy one now, but I WILL have one eventually!

Excellent design, Michael. I particularly like what you have done with the ergonomics of the handle, and appreciate the added length for versatility of grip. Having a little exposed steel for hammering, but without the jutting chunk of steel that so many knives have is a perfect touch.

I can't wait to get mine and abuse the holy bejeepers outta it! ;) :)

Thanks again fellows --

Michael -- I have one pic of a kydex sheath I made for the proto, but can't find a pic of the leather one I made for the first one I sold.

Thanks Colin --I knew I took a pic of that thing! :o :D (that's why you're the webmaster. :D)

Theobetts -- the parts of the kydex are a removable belt strap and front pouch (purchased from local store) that I made for the first BUSK of this type. I didn't get as clean a look from it as I wanted and will provide the kydex sheaths with tek-locs until I can refine the nylon-webbing stuff.

I wouldn't mind one of these eventually... I'll keep an eye out for future acquisition!

I mailed Michael and he confirmed that the L-6 is differentially heat treated.
These could be made in a whole lot of dirrerent configurations. The steel L-6 is in the top in knife blades.

Two of these are still looking for good homes. I haven't had to use my best sales pitch in awhile, but you all have forced me, so here goes:

C'mon . . .you know you want it! :D

Edited to add -- down to one -- the hollow-ground/G-10.
