Busse Anniversary Knife Model?. . . You decide!!!

2007 marks my 25th year as a full-time knifemaker and the 15th year anniversary of Busse Combat. Eventhough I started making custom knives in the late '70s I didn't start counting until I went full-time in 1982.

In 2002, for the 10th and 20th anniversary I did a remake of my Argonne Assault model from the 80's. Now I need to know what I should offer for the 15th and 25th anniversary. This knife will only be offered once and then permanently retired!

Should I bring back an old classic? Should I design an entirely new model? Should I just drink until I pass out? Hmmmm. . . . I could use a little help here fellas!!!

I welcome all suggestions!

Jerry:D

I highlight this for the guys crying for the folder! When this thing comes out it is going to revolutionize the industry man, do you think Jerry is going to shoot himself in the foot by making it a limited run, retired design? Patience my Hog and piglet brethren. You will have it soon enough.

Again I say D Guard Fighter!!!!!!!!!!

Jerry, no wonder you need help (and a drink)! This is a brutal question. Old??? New??? GFD??? SHSH Var??? Flying...

I have only one suggestion. Make sure it looks fabulous while filling us with an overpowering urge to beat the crap out of it in spite of it's "collectibility".

That is why I said a "Special Edition recurve satin finish FOLDER", that way it would be unique (maybe make it a Flying recurve FOLDER) and the normal folder could still be made. I'll still take a BBSHSH made from INFI with a 9" - 10" blade!!!

How about a combination/set for celebrating the 2 Anniversaries. Maybe a custom, your favorite to date, in celebration of your skills, and maybe a production/mil overrun model in celebration of the companies anniversary. I see that many feel the Silent Knight or AA are fitting. I'm not sure what model would accent each of these, but I think the opportunity to have a set would be awesome. Just a very humble suggestion.:foot: I'm probably proposing something that would put this project way out of my range, but as always, I am a fan/customer/user and will be happy to see whatever keeps making Busse Combat the BEST!:D

I’ve only been here for about 6 months, but from what older knives I’ve seen, the Silent Knight is one I would like to own. That is of course assuming you won’t make the Dragon’s Fang again. I’m looking forward to the folder, but it just wouldn’t represent what you have been doing for the last 25 years. My other choice would have to be anything with a hand guard or a Holly Terror attached.

Scratch that, bring back the

Fillet Knives

I got you Ducci, I must have missed your post. I suppose that would make the difference. :D A recurve folder would be pretty slick.

Although just a piglet and I know that my input doesn't mean much.
I will put my 2 cents worth in anyway. :p

Just playing with some possible names... and I mean purely playing!!

How about something like Heavy Ordinance Grade - Tactical Elite Steel Tiger Custom Limited Edition. :D :D

With a name like HOG TESTC LE, you know it would have to be the balls!  :p

i am not a busse owner, hopefully will be one day - but for all us folks that love your workmanship and cannot typically afford it, it would be sweet to offer the anniversary at discount maybe? or maybe im drunk? pass out....

WOW!!! good times! Jerry you rock!!! :D well if its a anniversary knife model then it should be a classic model with some modern touches!
