Busse Bushcraft?

I don't think the performance of INFI would be with the price for a custom bushcrafter.

INFI is the best steel out there for a chopper but for a small knife it's very average.

If you want an extremely high performance bushcrafter talk to some of the custom makers here and have one made out of a super steel like M390 or S90v.

I'm currently getting a custom made in K390. It should blow away everything I've ever used.

Got any recommended shops? Never heard of k390 or m390 before.

finding the handle of my new CABS to be way too small, I had it rehandled in Bocote wood. When I started using the knife, I discovered that it was a wonderful "bushcraft" knife. It carves, cuts, prepares food and performs camp chores as good as any knife I have used. The handle is an important part of a knife, and helps a lot with how 'good' a knife performs.

I've had a Skookum Bush Tool in A2 for several years and it continues to be one of my all time favorite knives. Nothing I have cuts like that knife does. It's the perfect "ying" to the " yang" of my Battle Mistress!
I have an EDC 4.1 from Surviveknives on its way in m390. I'm anxious to see what the fuss is all about.

I love the look of that knife, Mannlicher! Oh how I'd hope for a knife like that with an INFI NQ blade and quality wood handles...Jerry...I'm not sure that he's listening.:(

Today Busse=abuse
I don't know if a new INFI will be a good IDEA, people will beat the crap out of it just because its a BUSSE.
Maybe, but a lot of folks dropping that kind of cash have common sense as well..who wants to part with their slicer to have it repaired because they should have just grabbed an AD for the prying?

it's malleability, makes it so easy to bring it back to razor sharpness. Instead of steeling with a smooth steel which works very well, i simply draw the knife with a good amount of force, through some wood a few times, realigning the edge. It sounds too good to be true, but it works really well for me.

:thumbup:..will have to try that, responds well to leather strop too.

Shookums play well with the Kin..some great woods blades..:

My favorite bushcraft knives are my two Koyotes, but the War Dog is just a smidge behind them. I've had some other nice crafty knives but these are my keepers...
