Yes, I concur. Definitely black G-10, it would be more easily confused with black paper micarta being so black, & there is an example of black canvas micarta looking more like the usual grey color underneath that pic.
Black micarta *can* get that dark, but usually only when higher grit abrasives (sandpaper, etc) are used, or something wet, like oil, is applied.

It's so black, it's like, "How much more black could this be?"
And the answer is, "None." None more black.
