Even at the discounted price, that is a lot of money and I can't foresee anyone making more than a hundred to two hundred bucks in the first couple of years. and sale prices may go down. The busse aftermarket is saturated right now. knives are going for much less than they did even a year ago. It is all the new releases.
I'm only new to the game Cobalt, however I would have to say that I agree with you.
There's a bucketload of new steel coming onto the market. Older models are being passed on to gain new steel, new knives are up for sale almost immediately - the end result being a very active exchange, at least on the seller's behalf. I have noticed a definite increase in the time taken to sell/trade a knife and also a drop in prices. Knives still move of course - just not quickly. There are exceptions - some newer offerings get snapped up really quick, a few old classics.
In my own instance, I purchase a Rat Daddy not all that long ago, did my research and decided that it was most definitely worth it in the market at that time. Granted I have used it however even so there has not been one bite since I've put it on the exchange. Not that I'm worried, I'm quite happy to keep it too!
It's an exciting time to be in Busseland!
