Busse Combat Is Proud To Introduce: . . . The War Train . . . . .

I always make mockups of combos I'm interested in.. here's black and tan G10 versions for anybody on the fence

That black and tan combo looks SO cool!!!:cool::thumbup:

It looks like the holes in the tang are either smaller than normal or there is a more junk in the trunk than normal to help balance this tank out.

You might be right. I hadn't really noticed that. Hmm...

I'm sitting here looking fondling my Battle Saw in its sheath, and that sheath just so happens to be a little over 3" wide. It's giving me a pretty good idea of the size of the WTF, and I have to say, I really like it!!! :D

To those that think the WTF is just too big, I think you might be surprised just how well it works once in-hand. Buy now or regret whine later. :p

I want an INFI one so bad but can't justify the cost. What if I buy 3 and sell 2 to offset the cost of the first one. Anyone think the aftermarket value will be significantly higer then the initial offering price?

hi guy's, im kinda new on here and maybe posting in the wrong area but i have a question, i have a busse BG active duty any idea where i can get a sheath??? only thing hate about them you can't carry your knife because the dont come with a sheath really really sucks kinda makes me wanna trade it off i wanna be able to use and carry all my knives! can anyone PLEASE help me out here???

Even at the discounted price, that is a lot of money and I can't foresee anyone making more than a hundred to two hundred bucks in the first couple of years. and sale prices may go down. The busse aftermarket is saturated right now. knives are going for much less than they did even a year ago. It is all the new releases.

David Brown or AzWelke for Kydex, Patriot Leather for Leather. There are more but I have purchased from these guys only and all do stellar work and are stand-up guys.

Rob, any chance you could do a mock up of blue/black G10? I ordered mine with tan and black but am considering changing it.

The WTF is an absolute Beast! I wish I could have afforded the infi version but the more sr101 I buy the more I like it!

Ha! This is exactly one of the things I did to try to figure out if I could actually use this beast or not.

I also clamped a B8 to my Battle Saw to try to get an idea what the weight might feel like. It actually wasn't so bad, and the real thing will be balanced a whole lot better than that.

Very good job on that, it does indeed help! I don't suppose you have done one in red and black G10?

Ahh crap... Guess I'll have to hold off then. Thanks for the advice.

I couldn't resist.

BG WTF with black blade and green canvas micarta.

The wife is going to kill me, especially since there is "no hiding in plain sight" with my other steel.

I also did the comparison/visualization thingy using my BS while it was sheathed in Patriot leather. Figured the dimensions were close enough to give me a rough idea of what to expect from the WTF. My conclusion is that I can expect to be very happy once it arrives.

Bought: Black blade with maroon canvas mic handles, though realistically the black crinkle coat will not be there for long.

It's also hard to predict what knives will increase in value. Some play that game and loose. I never buy with expectations of profit. I buy to enjoy, and usually use. I have made good purchases, that I later sold, and made a little money on, but don't expect it to be a norm.

Blast, and here I thought the D-guard Battle Mistress was the an epic way to start "from the source" acquiring... (and my second Busse in 20 years)

May well have been, but this War Train would have been been a greater plunge. Afraid I'll have to up my plunder level to be ready when another "must have" comes along.

Hoping this massive piece ends up having a few more variations so I'll have a chance at one in Battle Grade.

:emot-yarr:

Welcome to the Busse Forum, ye pirate! I would be happy to take that old SHBM or SHSH off your hands for what you paid for it, so you could put the funds towards this War Train. It would make a great boarding blade for you; you could knock a mast down in a single blow!
