But. . . . thanks to you HOGs cleaning the trough out at record speed on every offer in OP2W, and some very big projects that are in the works, we will not be set up to display at BLADE Show 2018!:cool: . . .

We simply have no way to bring enough knives to justify setting up at the show this year.  And we're pretty sure that having 80 feet of empty tables might make for some angry HOGs!!!!

We have been displaying at BLADE Show for over 30 years! This year we are making BLADE Show a vacation for our employees and a big party as usual for our customers! :D

Jocks and Jill's closed in February, so this year's induction dinner will be at Murph's Sports Bar right inside the Cobb Galleria and will be killer cool as usual. We are looking at ways to have some VERY exclusive knife offers for those attending the dinner!:eek::D

So gear up and pack your party shoes HOGs. . . It's gonna be a wild one!

Let's Drink!

Jerry :D

That’s just awesome !!!! Hats off to you Boss man and the whole Busse Combat Crew !!!!! Enjoy the weekend :-)

Hopefully I’ll be able to attend :-)

Does this mean we will see more blades on the web page ???? Like maybe the Hog Badger :-):-)

I am happy for your crew. I know these events are not always all that enjoyable for those working them. Been there myself a few times not knife related,no one sees the set up and breakdown. Can be totally exhausting.

WARNING this may get a little well you know.
I have to say that I am kind of still letting this sink in. Jerry I don't know if you know how many great memories you and the crew have given many of us and our families. I have pics of my son growing up across 10 or 11 Blade shows and the Busse booth seems to be in about all of them. In case this is permanent I really want to thank you for all that. For years Blade has been my Christmas and it was even a bit strange seeing a 7 or 8 year old just as excited about Blade as he was Christmas. He moved out on his own last year and got engaged. Hurt me that other things didn't let him go last year and with the show being a week and a half after his wedding this year he will not make it again. Hoping that in a few years myself, son and grandchild will be standing in front of the Busse booth again.
Really looking forward to the party!

Wow what a tough decision... Mr pirtle has a table and told me I should go but my main attraction would be you guys. If you are not there I can't justify the trip. Pretty awesome you are doing this but to be the best knife maker probably in the world and not be set up at the blade show seems weird. Did you get into a tiff with the organizers?
Think it's very cool you and your staff will get to be there and enjoy without working though :thumbsup::thumbsup:

You should still go. I would bet the Induction Dinner will be something to see. To be honest if I had seen this a few days ago I would have changed my plans for the show a little. Can't change my reservations.

Actually pretty unbelievable, I think our group would of been at 20 family and friends coming. Not sure I'll go...we go for buying Busse knives.

Dang, I was planning on making this my first year to blade show. Not sure if I will be attending now... :(

Edit: It really sucks as i've been saving my pennies and not buying OP2W blades to buy some infi at blade show. Bummer.

This will certainly get the rumors going in the knife maker circle of the impending demise of Busse knives! LOL!
Man, I feel for the crew, I've read and seen so much about this annual event and pics of the crowds at the table stretching the length of the building that spoke volumes about what Busse is all about - In my business trade shows seem like a huge money holes because you kind of have to go just to be seen but the guys and gals are like old hens because the first thing everyone does is look for who didn't show up this year *and discussing their impending demise* like the local quilting circle that meets at the country church LOL!
Hey, biness is biness but another way to look at this, which hit me, at least Jerry isn't holding back on us and we're getting the best stuff he's got and not stashing all the good Hog Ganja for someone later at a show - So for that point :thumbsup::thumbsup:
I have to say I've considered this show just for the chance to meet a some of you folks but that will be for another time I'm afraid. So from that perspective, I'm kind of saddened as well but we'll get through it  ...... meanwhile, I'll keep an eye open for any new realty listings around my neighborhood LOLOLOLOLO!!! ..... Come on! Snouts up! It's not like we're all headed to the butcher to become tomorrow's bacon!!!

So, I guess this means no knob creek again in April??
Let's have a party in waseon Ohio! You don't have to come to us, we'll come to you ;)

I had a better chance of getting to Knob Creek than Atlanta, but the gang is still going to party there and we still get our fill of knives on line.

Beats outsourcing to China.
