Great idea, great resource and thanks for the hard work TW!!
This should get a sticyk, if not at least tag it to your sig line...
I'd gladly add it to mine

Wow, what a great resource! As someone who has been apprehensive about even putting out feelers about trying a Busse, having an original price list really goes a long way towards aiding an informed decision.

Thank you sincerely from one who has never had a Busse, but has been curious.

Can new (assuming they don't buy a membership right away) members search these days? Otherwise this won't help newbs a lot unless it gets stickied. I'm happy to add to BusseCollector. It helps me to get submissions from others if something's missing. I did recently get one from Dan, before this thread started.

If you want this thread to be substantially better than BusseCollector you will add the price breakdown for all the options available on each model. I've been wanting to do that.

I love your site and give that site out to all those that are new with questions. I think it's great and does take a lot of work. Yes pictures do help. If we all just send an email out here and there, it would be more up to date and be a bit more accurate.

Hi Mike - I love your site and the way you have it organized and the pics just make it... Hope it doesnt seem like I am trying to steal any thunder or compete - just trying to add yet another resource for us all. I'm also going to try to add recently sold for prices with dates to this and update it periodically.... or possibly if someone sells or buys a knife who enjoys the prices being public, they can add a post to this thread with the knife model, price sold for and date...

Date of release would be good info, and help in regards to how long out of production and the appreciation taken place.

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm keeping this one alive for a long time. The collector is a great site but we, especially the new people, need more resources for pricing and information. There are some other factors that affect value and current pricing but at least newbies will have a better idea about whether they are getting a good deal, a fair deal, or just a bend you over deal. Trailwolf, great idea and great work. I'm sure all of the people that have been voicing their opinions about overpriced knives on the exchange will love this thread.

Wow, wish I was around when those Nuclear Ice Picks were in stock at the store. I believe that I just saw one sell for close to $200 a few weeks back!

I'm pretty sure the original base price for the CG AK-47 was $587, but I have no paperwork/online receipt saved. I'm comfortable putting that price up as tentative until someone disproves or confirms that. I do remember the handle options were pricey.

And AFAIK, Busse hasn't charged a premium for the asymmetrical edge on the Basic 11. They are obviously much rarer and the ones released at Blade 2010 were hand ground by Jerry himself as I understand it, but price was the same as the V grind.

Thanks Will appreciate the info and will update with the info :thumbup:

On the BOSS Jacks:

Can anyone confirm the prices on the BOSS Jacks offered at the shows? Not the Protos from Knoboganzaa and not these new releases - they really varied a lot but I think ALL had G10 - some were coated, some were satin, some had fullers, some did not...

Also, the desert warfare BJ - anyone have a price on these guys?

Thanks! :D

The price of the SFNO LE is a little warped. The 300 were only sold to Hogs originally and they ALL got the Hog Special Pricing. No point in arguing about where to price it. It's just good to know the whole story. ;)

edit: I guess it should at least be posted at $527 instead of $597.

Here's the info from the original post by Jerry.

"Pricing and ordering procedures. . .

This Special Offer is for HOGS ONLY!!! . . . The HOG SF Natural Outlaw LE will be offered on Thursday (12-11-08)

...

The SFNO LE with hand shaped handles would normally be priced at $527.00. . .

As our way of saying thanks to the HOGs. . . . The HOG only Special Edition SFNO LE with a sabre ground, .220" thick, satin finished blade, and hand shaped tiger hide handles, will be priced at ONLY $427.00!!!

But. . . for you HOGs who are fast enough and Hoggish enough to get more than one . . . Only the first SFNO LE will cost you $427.00 . . . Every other SFNO LE you buy after that will be Hog Only Deep Discount (HODD) priced at an unbelievable $367.00 ! ! ! ! each"

Tiger Handled Flying Mojo....$1197.00
This Tiger is talking about the shape of the handle not what the handles material is made of.

Anybody have a price on a Dragon's Fang?

I know they are not common, but they are pretty cool and have always been curious

And weren't the stealth hawks $87 or something close to that?
