Busse Combat Proudly Presents the Pork Chop Battle Grade

Agree totally, the AK-47 is very light-The Pork Chop is not designed to be a fielding axe, rather a small camp axe, that can be used when necessary as a weapon or tool-The guard serves no purpose other than to make it look intimidating and provide more steel to be used in a Combat Scenario -It is a Combat Axe-Primitive yet intimidating-I like it!!!
Nonsense - the AK can easily be wielded one-handed. It's a lot smaller and lighter than traditional European one-handed swords. I would be more concerned about being able to wield the Pork Chop effectively as a one-handed weapon due to the weight & balance. If you can, though, the guards would be useful when blocking.

I have an RMJ Shrike on order, which I think would make an effective main-gauche partner to my AK.

Yeah, you're right. Guess I hadn't picked up my AK in a while. Just picked it up and swung it around and yeah... extremely comfortable and agile one handed. My bad.

Also, AK47 and the Shrike do make a good pair.

I see a nice short sword outta this! Kinda a different take on the gladius

Very easy to visualize a sword with this handle coming out.

Instead of a BG Gladius, we may see a similarly sized sword with this handle instead. Hopefully we get a combat grade option aka more affordable infi option.

Agreed, they are there for weight distribution, with that Fat head the guards will give it more balance, may order a third, I have plenty of knives, but only 3 axe's
I suggest you keep them --- those guards almost certainly play a role in the weight distribution and balance. Aesthetically, it's unique and will allow the Pork Chop to stand out from nearly every other hatchet/camp axe out there

I am thinking somewhere around 12 pounds-I could be off by say 9 1/2 pounds though-I to would like this info-probably will not get it though-I like em Heavy

Looks to be the same guards as the TGLB? about an inch or so longer overall-Perfect for small camp chores and epic battles of yesteryear
