Busse Custom FOLDER (as promised)

Ron was kind enough to let me inspect his new folder at Knob Creek.

It is a large folder but Weiland's use of titanium minimized the weight.

I would be happy to have one in my pocket.

A 3/4 scale version would be great too.
 
I'm trying to decide what organs I can sell off now, for this one...!! I've narrowed it down to the organs I have duplicates of...but, I'll consider the non dups too!!! :eek::eek::eek::thumbup:

Nice, but not for me. Lose the recurve, add some jimping to the spine and lockbar cutout, increase the size of the thumbstud. This and that and this and that, bottom line is that I do not see it besting the MS XL and its nightmare tanto grind.
 
Incredible folder Ron! Great job on the design and putting this together with Reese. Maybe this will prompt the Boss to get serious about delivering us a folder.

How about some specs? Thickness; OAL; blade length; Ti thickness; etc.

Here you go:

Knife Weight: 11.4 Ounces
Blade Thickness: .194"
Liner Thickness: .14"
Blade Length: 4.7"
Overall Length: 10.5"

By the way Reese can make the blade any shape or size. This was my design and I wanted something different. Not like everyone else's knife!!!
 
Off topic but, Mikkel Willumsen is a great custom knife maker, and has some sick designs...

I was not going to post this on the forums but I will and if the moderator wants to erase it, it is OK. Reese Weiland will make you this same knife or one similar for $600 including his steel (S30V or whatever) but if you want INFI you supply the blade. I paid $350 for my CGASH I so this knife cost me $950. If you used a simpler grind you would not need as big of a knife. You could get by with a BATAC or SAR5. This knife was too large for a clip but he can do one with a clip if you prefer. To contact Reese, his email is: rwphil413@verizon.net

Why would you call a guys knife UGLY? If you don't like it, just say it is not your cup of tea. I don't understand why people have to be so frigging negative.
 
I like the grind on the blade. It looks sharp--stupid pun intended. The level of difficulty working with already heat-treated INFI is so much higher than your average Tac Folder that I don't care. It's amazing.

I have often wondered that, myself. ;)
I'd rather keep quiet than to say someone's knife, gun, or anything else is ugly.
You already know, I think your folder is awesome. :thumbup:

Anyway, awesome blade. Way to take the bull by the horns, or the hog by the ears, on this one. Congrats!!
