Thanks for all the bids HOGS! Now I wonder if there are any snipers waiting for the last 10 seconds on Sunday?:D

I would say that all depends on how things go the rest of the week. While I understand the rush to nab this beauty, I think we ought to pace ourselves on the next one. You know, go at it $5 or $10 bucks at a time and make the excitement last the entire auction. Heck, the auction for the first one is way over for some of us and there is still much of the week left. I know it is about raising cash for these fine families, but we can do that while edging each other out at a steady pace too. :D:D:D:D

One thing I was thinking of was whether or not you planned on waiting until both auctions were over to consolidate the cash raised and slpit it eaqually or if you had decided to alot the money from each blade to one family or the other. My thinking is that one might bring more than the other as it seemed there was more interest in the first one. Not my business, but something to think about if you have not already.

Thanks again to Jerry for the great blades, as you can see we hogs are doing our part.

Yep, that's my plan. I missed the start, by the time I got to the hotel it was already sky high :) lol

Progunner,

All the money for eBay auctions that have been running will be split 50-50 between Yangdu Martino and Mary Slate. Also, to keep it simple, I will take care of eBay costs and split the gross proceeds. Thanks for bidding, and yes a smart eBayer snipes but fast hogs are appreciated on this item.

So do you think we can get a consensus on the next auction by all hogs to make it an inch by inch competition rather than a mile by mile one? Going big in the last minutes would make for an awesome finish that way.

Wendell, Good to know and a smart way to go as well, always better to keep it simple.

Yeah right, good luck :) Skunk alone would be difficult. You will have to catch him when he isn't intoxicated...so that's about a 1 hour window between breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner

We all know there isn't any wife and kids at home for you man, very sneaky trick though. :D

Note that this auction has been pre-approved. In general, auctions or links to current auctions for the purpose of promoting them are not allowed on the forums by Bladeforums policy. These auctions for the families of Bill and Rusty are an exception.

Best of luck to the biggest OINKer!

Well, I had the highest bid for about 4 mins ;) Good to see there's action on these. Great cause. Maybe I should go gunning for Proporker on the first one :D:D

I gave it a kick to weed out the wimpies...

Many thanks to you Wendell. Done like a true Hog.

One of Uncle Bill's many wise sayings was...

" Debt is good". :D

I'm glad to see you guys going after #2 with just as much gusto as you have so far for #1.

I'm out. Great knife and great cause, but I simply can't belly up to the trough with all you HOGs.

Have fun guys - and don't forget to post pics for us wee little piglets after the show. :)

There aren't too many stand up guys left in the world, and I find this act of generosity very touching. Kudos to you, Mr. Busse. I may not be a Hog yet, but my time will come...soon. I've been hovering and surveying the Busse camp for quite some time (I was one of the finalist in the naming of the Force One), and once the Fusion Battle Mistress hits, I'll own one. On a final note, Busse should really add a kukri to its line-up. Just my opinion. Once again, this was very cool of you, Jerry.
