Busse Custom Variants For Our Friends At Himalayan Imports!!!!

WOW!!!
You guys are kicking it in the rear!
This is great! I'm really impressed and proud of you guys. :D

Thank you.

And today would have been Rusty's 55th birthday. :grumpy:

Mr Busse what a tremendous thing you are doing I am sure they are smiling down on you now. I am going to bid on this I figure if I win I not only get my first Busse knife but will also do something nice for the family truly a win/win situation. Definitely worth paying the price. I don't want to get too "schmaltzy" about this but if I win this I will print out the entire thread and use it as "background" for the knife. I think the things said by you kind men and women on this thread are an amazing tribute to two amazing men.

It is good to see that people still care about each other and that people like Mr Busse are willing to step up to the plate to help another. People like you all make me proud of this country. No matter what, we will always have the caring and compassion that is displayed here.

I just hope I win it is a beautiful knife and an amazing cause.

Yep Crushenator this knife definitely has some meaning now. I'll keep this entire Thread with the knife, it is after all what pushed me to go for it. The goodwill on this message board towards those two fine men is excellent and I think makes for a good back story on this knife.

As I said on the other thread I think this knife deserves a super fine sheath which will also be a first for me since I have never had a custom sheath made for me. So if anyone has ideas on how to best "dress up" this knife I sure would like to hear it.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the auction you made it a lot of fun and your hearts we certainly in the right place.

If you want to find out a bit about me since I am new to the forum eBay recently did a story on me in the Monthly Chatter for July. I'd post a link but not sure that would be appropriate. Anyhow I run the criminal investigations for eBay and PayPal and the story is about some recent succeses we have had in Romanian arresting some of those people who send out the "spoof or phishing" emails. I also recently went to Nigeria to work with LE there on counterfeit cashiers check issues. The Monthly Chatter is in the community area of eBay.

Again any suggestions for a sheath to commemorate this knife is truly appreciated.

Congrats to both Progunner and Catchindirtbags for scoring such cool blades and helping out the families of 2 great men in their time of need!!!! And thanks again to Wendell for running the auctions!!! Nice job boys!!!!

I have to admit that Catchindirtbags really knows how to start off his Busse collection in style!!!

I'm sure that the funds for the families will be greaty appreciated! Couple this with the thoughts, prayers and sentiments that have been offered for these families and hopefully we have all joined together to help lighten their load during this sorrowful time.

Thanks to all!!!!

I am just happy that I could help a little that is what life is all about. Everyone have a magnificent 4th of July!
DUDE! Congrats!!!! You're going to love that knife. Do you have any plans for it? There's lot of nice sheathmakers here on the forums also.

I sent an email to Armoralleather in hopes of getting a sheath from them. In looking at their website I can't imagine anyone being able to do a better job I really hope they can work with me I know they are hugely busy by the looks of their site. Reality is everyone of the makers on the Busse site were tempting but I think for display purposes Armoralleather is what I am looking for. I also got one of the NARK special presentations off the site so will need a sheath for that too.

I am excited about being able to support craftsmen like this. My other obsessions archery and rifles/handguns don't really have much of the "small craftsmen" feel to them like knives do I think that is one reason I like them so much.

Awesome choice for a sheath!!! Armorall's leather sheaths can not be beat!!!

Congrats again!!!

Jerry

These auctions were a tremendous success.

Not only will the proceeds help the families of Bill and Rusty, but I think the auctions themselves have strengthened the community of knife people.

Thank you to everyone involved.
