Busse Edge Problems

John the Texican, not to get to far off-topic, but my Axe-Hammer LE is in exactly the same predicament. It seems to have stalled somewhere around Reno. Maybe they stopped for an INFI party in Vegas.

Sounds like what happened. Reno is the first real city east of the snow-bound Donner pass. The truckers are joining the party, Busse knives and whiskey will flow, hopefully everything gets boxed back up correctly!

I should probably apologize to Jerry if I offended him, And to respond to a few comments I certainly do not hate Busse knives in any way shape or form, that would just be silly... As I said I do love them in fact, hence the reason I have bought multiples... ;) I was merely attempting to point out in a constructive way that they should pay a little better attention to the bevels being even so folks do not have to remove so much blade stock or spend as much time finishing the edge... That is all... That being said, it took me about 2 hours to finish my edge which isnt bad for INFI, I spent roughly 5 hours on my First busse (TGLB)... I probably just needed to blow off some steam and calm myself by stroking a blade across some diamonds for a few hours... ;) So I did just that and all is well... Very well actually... Maybe a little too well, this knife is so sharp it frightens me...

You join the forum the day you complain = :poop::(

Then you finally reply after bashing on 4 post with your tail between your legs  on your 5th Post. o_O

Ask question or read around before you come out  and act like a c=8.

Quality knives , great company , if you don’t like the original edge geometry fix it or sell it and buy another brand.

When I received my Rucki, I didn’t think it was near as sharp as should have been. That is, until the blood started flowing. Don’t let thickness behind the edge fool you into thinking a blade isn’t sharp.

Happily ever afters are always good ~ It's all good though, for example I sometimes think my sister is a royal bitch but I still love her :D

That is a great edge

A guy can love Corvettes and still hate the tires that they come with. Might not be a big enough deal to make him stop loving Corvettes but it can be something he hates having to change whenever he gets a new one.

It's not his "hatred of the tires" that's the issue. It's his insinuation that the "tire maker" "does not seem to care one single bit".

Bear in mind: we haven't seen his knives' edges....we only have his assessment that they are "god awful", no doubt based on his "long history of knife use and collecting".

My experience does not match his....and I have "more than five" Busse knives. Other folks have expressed the same thing.

His issue was with a product....yet he felt it more useful to complain publically to other customers than to the company making the product?

Uh, huh.....

You took my post out of context. I had replied to a post that asked if his first blade had a bad edge why he would buy four more. I have had some blades with edges that were way off so I don't doubt him. I just fix them myself and go on with life. Not saying that I agree with the way he came in here with both guns a' blazin' but I know from first hand experience that someone can love a knife and not like the edge.

Absolutely. But I think you took the criticisms of the OP out of context, as well.

What were we supposed to do with his post? What was his intention making it? Yes, Jerry responded; but he's a good man, and he'd have responded to a private email as well.

We're trying to discourage people from airing unhelpful sentiments in a public forum. We think of ourselves as a community; and such commentary is not a good way to conduct ourselves.

We're living in peak Busse Combat times, no room for ragrets or silly complaints. This post is like someone complaining about their Ferrari because they dont like the stock tires, boo hoo.

I never addressed the criticism of his post. I'll leave that kind of stuff to the mods. Just replied to another poster why someone might continue to buy knives with edges that he thought were sub par. That' all.
