Busse is your one and only?

I have bought more Busse/Bussekin fixed blades than any other maker....looking for the "best in size or type"....strangely I have found some of the very expensive customs I have also perform as well or better....usually though they are a lot more than an equivalent Busse....and usually they are smaller blades....the Busse's I have that are definately the best in size and weight are the larger knives....Infi seems to shine best as a chopping steel...my favourite user is my NMFBM...then my FBM...but in between those two is a Hossum Grand Retribution...so I still like and use Customs...but Bussekin tend to be the most likely companies to have just what I want ....my Basic 9 and the SY S5LE are a great combo and also great value for money as well...to better the S5LE takes steel and makers costing around $1000....and even then it probably boils down to a nuance on edge holding determined by the Rc hardness of the steel....and maybe the edge grind...subtle stuff when you consider the huge price difference...

Bussekin exclusively. Mostly Scrap Yard and Busse Combat. I sort of just gap over the Swamp, except for a Chopweiler and a Waki.

I do a lot of drooling over other brands but only own and use Busse for my fixed blade needs.

Except owning an F1 and a Normark fillet-knife, I'm in the same mindset.
I just feel "naked" when I don't have a piece of INFI with me...
I like RAT, Bark River, and would like to get a Laconico, but I'm quite narrow-minded when it comes to "what knife should I pack"...

For a fix blade, yes, 100% then i bought the first. I have an F1 too, like Ikkyo, but this isn't my real way.

They're definitely my one and only for fixed blades. I've looked at and handle Fehrmans but have yet to buy.

I dig Busse a lot, but I can't see myself ever committing to only their knives - I still like to have a few small knives with no choil

I was looking for "the best" survival knife out there, and read an article that basically said "brands x, y and z are good knives if you can't afford to get the best knife money can buy - Busse." After reading that, I had to find out what a Busse knife was all about. After I bought my first one, I stopped looking - I had found the Holy Grail.

Well lads I will put this matter in a different context. If we say that blades are drugs then I am a serius drug addict and if we say that death is the conclusion of drug use then for blades financial death is the blade adiction equivalent and seriously if I don't stop somewhat my death is very close. My sort of methadone will be making my own blades but my first attempt was a dissaster.
Ok now to the point. Busse in blades my heroin and then Hi end folders my coke whith the extasy being some of the BM's and Spydies. All the other blades are my EDC chasis

And lads keep away from the real drugs. The temptation is high but show stegnth and avoid it you will be a lot happyer this way

Take kare all

Like others here, I started carrying a fixed blade once I found Busse - and still do almost exclusively - the only exception is a Koster bushcrafter. I EDC a GW or Culti in town; a BAD or the Koster bushcrafter on short, casual, day hikes; and a Culti, SAR-4, and SAR-8 on my more serious outings. My FBM? It's in my trunk - I have it because...well, because I have it. FBMs need no excuse.
Oh, and I always carry a SAK Huntsman, Farmer, or the new Soldier model. All the other knives, fixed and folders, I've sold off. 'Nuf said.

Most of my fixed blades are busse and busse kin knives, but I still use a lot other knives.

I'm a avid hunter and outdoorsman and most of the Busse knives are too thick for gutting a deer and simple bushcraft tasks.

I'm still hoping Busse will make a 3 1/2" - 4" thinner blade similar to a Mora with a scadi grind for those tasks.

I have several Busses and swamp rats. But I also like striders, hortons, american kami, custom knifes by BK Jonhson, sypdercos, blind horse, cold steel, sogs, and Rat Culterly.

Most of my fixed blades are non-Bussekin, but that is because I started collecting 30+ years ago, and only discovered Busse recently. Since then, I've bought a few other brands but mostly Bussekin.
Most recent addition is a mint Swamp Rat Vex, and what a beauty it is. I have other good knives in this size range but I don't think I can resist using it. ;)
For edc I don't need or even want a Busse, but for real utility/camping/survival, nothing else is used any longer.

Now that I have a couple of Busses, I can say that I'll never NEED another fixed blade.
But, I'm sure I'll buy other fixed blades, sooner or later.

I changed from folders to fixed blades when I found Busse. And I pretty much quit looking else where.

+1
Busse knives are all I will carry now. I EDC an awesome thin GW and I have several bigger ones for heavier use. Great Stuff!

Guys, the INFI won me over. INFI is the Ultimate knife steel... until Jerry comes out with something better!
;)
