Busse knife waiting

Thanks for the move Esav!!!

I probably unfairly judged the Busse subforum and its inhabitants--I apologize for that. When I made my comment I just imagined a room full of SpyderPhreaks.

You have misjudged this s/f ;), but I stand by my earlier comments on the blogger. FWIW, a good portion of my attitude toward the OP was the fact that I suspect he's a returning, known Busse troll just looking to stir things up. The other part was that this was originally posted in GKD (I'm thinking on purpose) where it could sit and fester, versus where it got (properly) moved to where things wouldn't have been responded to quite so snarkily. Proper posting etiquette goes a long way.

Amen Brother

See above. Still not sure if troll...

They run a pretty tight ship on the Busse forum when it comes to civility. There's a sticky about it. As long as you don't come in swinging it's a pretty friendly place. That said, a man's back yard where his friends are hanging out and having fun isn't the place to walk in and talk about how his kids are fat, stupid and ugly. That doesn't go well. Just treat it like Jerry Busse's back yard and you'll be fine. Including SpyderPhreak. He's been super helpful with questions I've had in tbe past. YMMV.

This!!!

Has anyone waited more than the 20 weeks for a knofe from busse I'm on week 25 it sucks and I hope it's worth it I ordered the team gemini P

Well those of us who sprung for the WTF are now getting them at 26ish weeks. Operation 2 Weeks was started in Aug 2015.. with O2W there was 1 or 2 knives offered almost every week.. this is quite a bit different than how it was done before. honestly with that kind of order volume im surprised the old 14 week est has only jumped to 20 weeks.. some knife makers have a 4-5 year backlog because they aren't set up for high demand. THE GREAT NEWS...is that despite the backlog, blade show, and all of us complaining about the wait.. the knives being delivered are PERFECT..they are not sacrificing quality to keep up.
and remember, in not to long the wait will be in the past and you will have the kind of knife you keep forever and pass to your kids.. you will love having a Busse..and even more as you get a feel for their steel..

Fair enough! I formally rescind my comments and bid you a good day!

Be patient Mike. Wait times can be anywhere from 4 to 14 weeks like the website says or a little longer. For some perspective, I ordered something in Dec. and it arrived in May. No biggie. O2W put out a LOT of blades in a short period of time. It's fun to see what is offered every week but remember that all those knives have to be made.

One thing I really like is that you are not charged until a couple weeks before the knife arrives at your house. That's fair and, for me, mitigates a long wait time.

Sounds good! BTW, your pig avatar fits in pretty well around here. Pull up a chair, grab a drink, and stay for awhile!!! :D :pig:

20 weeks :D.

Have patience brother. ;) There are a few in my collection that took closer to a decade or uh close to 10 years, but I am an old man so time goes by quick.

Haha...the OP needs to try waiting for a CS order. Then he'll be glad he's only looking at 20-30 weeks for a new knife ;)

I ordered my Ratweiler from Swamp Rat / Busse on 10/21/15 and it shipped on 2/11/16 so about 17 weeks on my last order.

To be honest I really don't mind the wait on these knives because they are limited edition handmade items, and it gives me some time to pay my order off before it arrives.

Wow I was asking a question not whining and I thought hey maybe people here would give some straight up answers not be sarcastic about it

Just pick up the phone and call Busse and see if they can give you an ETA; last time I called them a nice lady picked up immediately and helped me. From what I have seen they seem to be a company that cares about their customers and the owner comes on here all the time.
