Busse Machete?....Sound Off!

Too thick for a machete. I would be happy with one done by the Yard, 18" blade of SR77, 1/8" thick.

That will work, also. Res-C, please.

Anything 14" blade or over and 3/16" thick or under...I'm in.

I like it I like it!!! True true....1/8 is considered thick for a true machete. I just so happen to have one that is at the specs that I originally stated and I'm telling my INFI bros....it works! The only drawback......It's not a Busse! But a Busse kin with Res handles......Hmmmmmm, you 2 may be on to something I didn't consider. Although I'm still liking the 3/16"...but I'm down for a 1/8" if it's a Busse Kin. Would keep the cost down for sure........Paging Dan Busse please.....Dan Busse to the parent forum PULEASE!!!!!!

does JUNGLE MISTRESS sound good?
res-c sounds good but i like full tang for machetes, not rat tail tangs.

Jungle mistress sounds great! Yeah, I would like hand shaped canvas micarta, 14" long, 2" wide, and 1/8" or 3/16" thick. Howabout jungle green with tan canvas? I'll take it!:)

Yes...this would be my only complaint also. But the rep of the Busse tang is rock solid, never heard of a one getting loose or broken (at least not that I can remember). I would like the idea of having a res handle on a machete, so sacrificing the full tang might be an option.

Nice Nice.....but extending the blade length to another 4 inches keeps you 4 more inches away from the teeth of the undead!;)

Combat Grade Mag Slabs 18 inch long 2 inch wide 3/16" thick blade 25 inches over all.:thumbup:

Who is down for one?

We'll be needing a name for it......HOG-MACH, HOG-CHETE???

Ya know you want it!:p

Oh yeah baby!! Solstice you're singing my song!!! Give the bad kitty one of THOSE!!!!
Now where is that "ORDER" button?!!??! :D
OINK!!! :pig:

Honestly, I'm thrilled with my 1311. Between that and the ASHBM I can't think of anything they can't handle.
Maybe if I lived in a real jungle?

It's always about the "More" bro....More Choppers....More Big Blades....More INFI !!

I think 1/8" would be amazing with INFI. Anything larger would be tiring and defeat the machete purpose. Maybe 3/16" with a practically full flat grind?

It's a real good point bro. I have a Siegle that is his version of the Eli Sword and it has a 16" blade OAL is 22" and at 1/4" with a flat grind, the sucka is heavy...and yes like you said, swinging that beast around wears out the ole arm real quick. 1/8" would be the best case but the big blade guy in me would like to see a 3/16" version. Hell.....I'll take either in INFI.

Hey Jerry...Dan...how bout it? Is it time for a Machete? Pulease!!!!:D

Top Machete is the specs in the OP. Bill Siegle Frontier Sword is next, Siegle's Hoodlum II, then Tops Machete .230.

When i saw this post i thought about MOAD 1311 mod. Maybe a 1811 with a slightly wider belly and a thinner stock?
Res C is so necessary as well as the coating. A chisel or a flat grind will be perfect either.
