Title pretty much says it.. on my honeymoon I remember watching a guy in Jamaica use a machete for everything..it is the most versatile tool when you see someone skilled at it..he completely filleted a big fish and then peeled and chopped up some specail wood in like 60sec flat.
a bad ass Busse 18" thin machete with a fusion-ish handle would be bad ass..

Yep. I put in a request for one a couple weeks ago in the "what would you like to see" thread. I was thinking 14" but I would have no objections to an 18".

Have you seen the AK ? ;)

Whenever I think machete I get visions of the Hognose - Dave does an outstanding job selling me on the AK as more than capable. Batoning a street sign? that's all you need to know :thumbsup:

For some reason samurai swords dont do much for me.. I'm sure the AK47 would function as a machete pretty well but I was envisioning a very skinny blade but much wider (edge to spine) than the ak47.. like a traditional machete...idk, clearly this has been suggested before

Custom Shop is not accepting orders, so it’s a moot point for now. The only two oversized blades I personally know of that were special orders were the Dragon’s Fang and onewhobuy’s Chuckette (or Chuckchete, depending on who you ask). Of course there is dericdesmond’s Tactical Butter Knife, but it’s not quite that big.

I would venture to guess I have indirectly sold a few AK's over the years with my Proof pics :)

I’m actually pretty happy with what’s available now compared with then. I’ve run my B11 head-to-head against an 18” Fell Beast machete from Hunter Martin, (.10” thick differentially heat treated 52100) and was very satisfied with the B11 performance. That machete is also very effective and beats the B11 on light, springy brush and has more reach, but the B11 is just as fast, is stronger laterally and a better battoner. I honestly no longer crave a 1/10th-inch-thick, 18” INFI machete for $500+:confused:.

You sold one yesterday David. Midnight blue with Maroon Micarta. I have had the AK47 on my list for a while. With the WTF leaving the site, I got a little anxious. Then I saw your pictures of the AK being used, and I had to pull the trigger. Looks like you will be making another awesome sheath for me soon.
:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I've owned both the AK and Rucki....and also a Short Butaniku. For me as a machete the parang style works a little better...never did grab a Boom Parang...but recently picked up a KaBar Parangatang and it is nice...a little too heavy but nice.
