Busse noob needs suggestions/help!

Any suggestions for a good knife maker anyone?

Bill Siegle and Barry Dawson come to mind very quickly :D Bill is on the forums here, and you can easily find a Dawson for a reasonable price on that auction site.

I have to throw in the mini EU-17 as my fav camp/bush knife. Yeah, about impossible to find, but the blade design really solves most complaints from the bushcraft community, IMO. Pointy, great grind, good size...what's not to like? :)

Gotta love the clip points Chuck! Especially with the euro handles :D....Your Eu has some GREAT dimples on it! The deepest I've seen...makes for a cool looking knife!

simpkin,

This inquiry got me thinking a little. There are a couple other knives in the Busse line that you might want to consider. One is the Buffalo Soldier which is similar in length to the BAIII with same basic handle (butt ground off though) and more pointed blade. The other is a Swamp Rat knife called the Dog Skinner with a similar blade to the BAIII and different handle. The first picture is a Busse Jungle Buffalo Soldier (INFI) and the second is a Swamp Rat Custom Dog Skinner (D2). I believe that there were some other variations of these including blade finish and handle material.

Hope this helps.
