Take a deep breath a_c. I dont want your imagination running away on you lmao! It's just another cold California winter night at 70° ;-) no shirt and shorts.
 
Remember with this Polar Vortex thing we are dealing with on the East Coast....bring your pets inside out of the cold :D

Where to start?! After finding out he was diabetic 2 weeks ago, I let him stay at the vet overnight so they could monitor some things. They said they would call next day (Sat). Knowing that some places close early Sat, I decided to call since I had yet to hear from them. All to find out they were heading out the door which meant regardless if my buddy was for better or worse, he was going to be forced staying until Monday since they were closed Sunday. When I went to pick him up Monday, though they said he was ready to go home and looked better, they were wrong, he looked worse. Breathing was way out of wack. I said yo Dr wtf? He listened and said, yeah that doesnt seem normal, DOH!

Being a minimal care place, he mentioned another place with constant 24/7 care and all the best option$. Took him there, fluid in his lungs, they did a few things, his breathing got better. MOre te$ts and a few days later, now all he has to do is eat. He wont. They tell me to take him home to see if it will entice him. It doesnt so I take him in next day, they tell me I can put a feeding tube thru his neck and that it will hopefully spring him back to life. Being that I was already $2500 into him, I didnt want to just give up so I did the reasearch and it seemed like a decent option and that I wasnt playing god (so I like to tell myself :rolleyes:). They do it, run another test and then tell me he has heart disease. They seem optimistic about everything as long as Im willing to care for him. I am, so this is it. He is home, seeming to do better, constantly purring, old mannerisms are coming back, but not out of the woods yet. Asside from a re-check ups, this is it. If he doesnt get better and start eating soon on his own, it will be his time. Had I had my fathers heart his time would of been two weeks ago but Im weakling when it comes to such :o Thanks for asking and sorry for the book man.

Your best friend is your best friend- and when it comes to all that joy and happiness you are gettin` from him, you couldn`t have done anything less, buddy:thumbup:

I'm sad to say that if my Sampson was to require any serious medical care, I would not be able to afford it. We've been scared a few times, but have been lucky and I am thankful for that. Just wish that vet bills weren't so insane...... :(

I hear ya man. If it were not for me having decent credit and a few safe queens Id be screwed. Seriously, unless some day Im loaded and can afford the best treatment for my buddies, no more pets here. Also just an FYI, there is an animal credit card the vets told me about that helps when you are in a jam, cant recall the name but it looked pretty decent when I glanced over it. If you ever need me to dig the info up just give me a shout.
 
Awww all of these animals are adorable! Does anybody else's cats like to attack your feet while you walk? My cat hides behind things in the middle of the night and when I walk past, she pounces at me! Scares the living day lights out of me :D
