I'm not sure why you paid for a membership here if you are just going to be a troll with a bad attitude. Lighten up and have some fun, but maybe you aren't a collector or user and are only looking to make money.

Live and learn, make a few friends. No need to be mad at anyone but yourself. You got your asking price, at no "cost" to yourself, you didn't pay for it retail.

Did you get every dime it was worth.....no, not by a long shot. But on occasion people just want to sell a piece and not get rich off it.

It wasn't like it was your first piece you ever sold on fleabay, if you don't research an item and put a price well below market value, do you actually expect people to say, "hey friend, I know you are only asking XX for this item, but it is worth sooo much more and that's the price I am going to give you"?

Suggestion -- if something on there is underpriced TELL US not the seller (or buy it). There has to be a way to do that WO breaking the rules.
 
I sold a Benchmade model 48 balisong for 60 bucks. Thing is I found out it was worth a lot more before payment was sent, and before I shipped it. Thing is I already made the deal. Live and learn and maybe cry a little in private.

Irondave, if we were all total A#$Holes, no one would have sent you an email or let you know you were underselling.

We are a helpful group on here. All you have to do is just sit back, read up, and look around the site.

You made a good move by joining here. Now, just take a chill pill, and take advantage of all the knowledge and friendly environment.

Again, you need to recognize, that one of the members on here took the time out of his day to actually send you an email and tell you more about the knives you were selling. That was awful nice of him.


I probably would have just bought them all at the buy it now price and made out like a bandit!

So you owe him, at least, some civility.


On a side note, if you are all pissy on here, you can get banned, and then you loose the investment of the gold membership (which also lets you sell on here!)

most of us has sold or traded something that we regret! Heck i did such a lopsided trade once i vowed to eat wonder bread and water before I did that again. Difference is i actually befriended the bastid! our deals have been pretty square since then!

I don't get what the big deal is? It's only 100 off retail price and you can get newer and more upgraded models for around 300??? :confused:

Let me start by aplologizing for my actions and words yesterday. I have been under an emotional stress lately due to the loss of my father. The reason I am selling some of his items is to try to raise money to give him a decent burial. He lived with me because he was on social security and would not have been able to make it. Covering his expenses stretched my pocket book thin also and I am under a lot of pressure to raise funds. The info I got on another website said the knife I sold retailed for $250. I listed it for $199 for a quick sale. When I found out I got burned and people thought it was funny I didn't take it very well. Bottom line, I should have done more research and now that I am a member of bladeforums I will. I look forward to talking with you and other guys and learning more about knives and values, etc. Unfortunately my father didn't teach me much about his second hobby. He taught me about guns so that is my thing. Have some of them for sale also. well thanks again and kind regards, Dave
