Busse Sarge 7

I've been researching sheaths for my NMSFNO and from what I've read the spec ops isn't a good fit, the blade is too wide for the liner - unless you want heat and reshape it. But the blade is even wide for the fabric outer as well it sounds like.

Im planning to buy one for my NMSFNO too, but if this is ture then I guess I will have to get a custom kydex sheath instead....

I'm expecting to receive my new NMSFNO later today. I'll let you now what I find out... in regards to the Spec OPs...

Old Pants for a much loved new knife.

wow! I thought I packed a bunch of stuff in MY sheaths!! Nice! I need to get some leather like that!!

By the way, The large Spec Ops fits the NMSFNO just fine. Just need to heat up the liner in the oven at 350 for about a minute, tape up the blade a bit and shove it in there..

Oh, get rid of that screw at the bottom of the sheath too. Wont need it anyway, the liner stays put.

This may be a stupid questions, but can you order a Sar 7 right now from the Busse website? I recently ordered a TGLB and was under the impression that only that knife and the Argonne Assault were currently available. I'm new to Busse so I wasn't sure how they work. Are you able to order models besides those two?

Yup. Bussecompanystore.com has many cool sarge7s in stock.

Just be aware that the Sarge 7 is a skeletinized handled/flat ground version of the SAR line up. It's awesome though and you will love it, it's just lighter and more balanced. I just put mine through the ringer this afternoon burning through several 6" willow branches that fell in last nights storm. I then proceeded to baton them all to make some kindling for an outside fire with the kids. Overall, for chopping and general camp chores, this knife performs...and well. I wouldn't use it for skinning anthing unless it's all I had, but all in all and great woods bumming choice - At least when my new NMSFNO isn't riding shotgun (and I certainly ain't gonna use that for hunting either!).

What about thickness? Is the Sarge 7 thicker than a Sar 8? I think .22 is a little to thin for battoning and I know the specs say .235 on the sarge. Is it possible to see a comparison photo?

Actually, I think the SARGE is made from slightly thicker stock than the SAR 8, it' certainly a little thicker than the 6, but the convex grind on the 6 & 8 mean they have more meat to the blade, even if the stock thickness is slightly less.

So the thickness is .235? 'Cause I was sure I read somewhere that the Sar 8 was only .22 but I might be mistaken.

Say Heah Boys and Girls, I learned what K. I. S. S. means a while back. And its a pretty good rule, Atleast for me it is. That's why most all of my Busse Combat Knives are plain Black G-10 Handles. "That's the way Uh Huh, Uh Huh I like it". Well almost all, I did buy the Green American Flag Cerakote ASH-1, And I gambled when the Steel Heart Ergo came out because it on was available coated. The gamble paid off and soon the Badger Attack Ergo was available, I was as happy as a clam. But then things really picked up and the Ergo Battle Mistress was available, Now I'm real happy. But when I was building my Busse Combat Stable I had to make some crucial discussions, The Sarge 7 was available when the Team Gemini was available, But I didn't know I could have had the top gaurd taken off like I did later on on my Rodent 6, Which came out Simply TiT's, Beautiful. They did a Outstanding Job. Then I got a pair of INFIMandu's so now one for both if my larger Choppers, I luv the bush. I teamed one with the Anneversay Straight Handle Battle Mistress LE and the other one with my Nuclear Meltdown Fussion Steel Heart. Before that I was teaming my N. M. F. S. H. with my Son of Badger, Now that honor goes to my Sarge 7 which complements the S. O. B. perfectly. A relatively lite 2Knife carry. And perhaps one of my Fav's 2Knife carry., Since I usually take my 2Hawks Warbeast Tomahawk and my Wicked Tough Saw or my Bob's Buckman which depends in how cold it is. Sometimes the Council 24" Work Craft 24" Axe comes along with the harness. Even though the modified Team Gemini would be a little heavier and perhaps would chop better than the lightened Sarge 7, I still find it to work great with my combinations and no regrets since we like to explore and scout new areas out when we hit the trail. Yeah, on its own, I would consider using the Sarge 7 on a mission, But I find it more than acceptable taking it into the wilderness or bush. Especially teamed up with the knife I have mine teamed up. I feel sort if fortunate that that was my decision and I wasn't forced into getting the Sarge 7, It's all a knife can be and then some.

Got any pics?
Just from the Internet, I never got into taking pictures, Infact the only original picture I have of a Knife that Battle Horse gave me of my Modified Attitude Knife. The picture is on Google+(plus) there's no other knife like it that I know of, The original Battle Horse Attitude is on their website and their knife doesn't come in a white Handle. Now Trissy is gone from Swamp Rat and Lexi and Pokey left from Busse Combat, But I guess my records are still there. Yeah, Sorry I don't take pictures, But I don't make things up, I'm not a washoe washoe kind of a guy, If I say I have it, I have it.
