BUSSE saves US SEAL

How can you be sure it wasn't a Canadian seal? Judging by the commentator's....accent.... this could have happened further north.

man, that was awesome, if the mom would have been there, i am sure that it would have been much more difficult.

Very cool!

However, my favorite part of the video is the commentary of the lady behind the camera, because it is EXACTLY what my girlfriend would have said...

"Wait - what if he charges me, instead of running to the water???"

:)
Well, in that case the knife can be put to use again, can't it? :D

Jeff, if you can make it to Blade next year, I want to buy you a drink, a good drink. You did really well for that seal pup, bro.

so did they just happen to have the camera or did they go back and get it? either way at least he is free...

Us guys were resting after eating a large lunch and the girls went for a walk down the beach where they found the seal. They came back to get us and I grabbed my "go-bag" and Walter took the camera. At the end of the video you can see me calling Jerry to tell him "the story". BTW this takes place in Washington state and our guest are from north of the boarder, hence the "Canadian" accent to their english.

That one girl was scared of a frontal seal-pup assault. :p

Nice Save! I didn't understand the comment about "not interfering with nature" at the end of the clip though. It was our interference (waste) that trapped the pup to begin with. Very cool video and good job!

+1

I noticed that as well.

I was very glad the save went reasonably smoothly and the seal was able to be set free.

And I thought the concerns from the one lady about being charged by such a small animal "Without" real legs and at that distance, to be pretty funny.

But, the comment about "not interfering with nature" rubbed me wrong. :thumbdn:

This wasn't a case of natural selection. This was an unfortunate situation and humans WERE the cause of this seal's mis-fortune.

Otherwise, very cool video... ay? :D ;)

Glad the seal was helped.

.
