Anyone else do a little spoonin' with their Busse? :)

Geez! Not that kinda spoonin'!

This kind!

I have a bunch more, I'll see if I can get pics of a few more of them, if anyone would like to see them.

So, anybody else do any Busse spoonin'?

Think we could get Jerry to make us a hook knife? :D

What do you do with all these spoons? Sell them?

My Wife ends up with most of them, I have a small sugar spoon, and an eating spoon I've kept for myself. I've gave a few away to family and friends, I've never sold any.

Here's a few more I found pics of, the little one in my Wife's hair I carved with my NMFBM just to see if I could, I only used my frost mora hook knife for the bowl of the spoon.

These I carved from a sassafras limb.

Nice work, that's a big spoon. Here's a few I've messed around with, getting to know various Busse knives,,,,

Very cool! I've always wanted to try that. Any recommendations about choosing the right piece of wood?

Nice work! It really helps with getting to know a blade doesn't it,

Very nice looking sheath

Thanks, I dabble with leather too, :)

DaKruiser are you on mud?

Yeah, lots of great info there.

Yes, green wood, freshly cut, I use mostly cherry, sassafras, and maple, but any tight grained wood should work well. Beware of your grain, and carve away an inch or two if you've chopped the piece you're working on, chopping usually causes the wood to crack/split up the grain.

Thats a very BAD ASS sheath on that TGLB!

Thank you!

You guys do nice work!;)

Thanks Tom!

I have never spooned like this with a Busse.....I have been guilty of doing it the OTHER way with a couple of my ASH1s .... ;)
