As far as continuing to post in the main forum if one is made, your posts will be moved just as those continuining to post Hi's in the production forum are moved to the custom forum since it was decided that that is where they belong. I would imagine a continued violation of the rules would lead to sanctions against that person.
Remember that even though most of us pay for the privledge of using these forums we are still guests here.

This is one of the most level headed posts of the weekend!
Maybe someone should vote Micky for mod, he doesn't seem to let his outrage cloud his judgement.

This is NOT why the Buck collectors voted to move to their own for sale thread.

It was because all of the Busse fanboy's bumping up their buddies thread all day long (with BS- Nobody really cares if you had the money yesterday or not or if you didnt just have your third testicle removed today you would have bought the knife etc.) All of the Busses' were bumped to the top all day long, bucks wound up back on page 6 if you could ever find them...
With the new rules Spark came up with yesterday I think that should take care of the problem though. I don't know if it helped or hurt the Buck sales or not but Buck knives mods donated a few Buck custom (one of a kinds) to get the votes to get their own sales area...
Also I dont know how many of you guys would actually buy a Buck anyway that arguement is null and void here, I just don't buy it. If someone wants a Buck Knife they know exactly where to look, one extra click, talk about lazy- Sheesh!

what a bunch of BS!
at any time there's only 5 busse's listed for sale out of 25 posts. this whole thing sounds like sarah brady to me :barf: :thumbdn:

10 of 25 on first page are Busse post.

Looks about normal there.

Again, I don't care either way!!!

Bucks arent for sale there anymore :D Also the rules changed yesterday :D and it NOT just Busse knives either, there are alot of knives for sale there that may or may not sell better than the others...
No BS I am just stating why they wanted the separate sale forum nothing against you guys personally and no need to get worked up either, You guys are big boys and girls and can do as you please, I am just stating some reasons why the Bucks wanted their own.... :D

I am curious though,
When you Busse fans go to buy a knife lets say a dealer or feebay or google, anywhere on the net what do you type in for a search? Knife, knives, Busse combat, Swamp rat, Infi??
See in Buckland we would type in Buck Knives, or Buck 110 or Buck 119 etc...
I have never gone to feebay or Ira wood and sons or SMKW and just typed in Knife and then scroll through 300 pages of knives, all of these knife retailers have them separated by brand, I don't understand what is so scary about that:confused:
Even when I go to the local sport shop the Buck knives are in one case, the Kershaws in another and so on...

I will go only if Porkducci goes.

I will follow you...
Follow you where ever you may go,
Your grinding is so very cruel.
Oh please don't play with your tool.
Leave them alone,

So Porkducci keep your mind,
Leave your urge to grind behind,
Even though Infi is tough,
Leave your work to just a fine buff,
I am your destiny ♥

i type in busse when i'm searching for a busse and reeve when i need a folder.
i just think this whole issue stinks, "the no bump" rule solves any perceived issues, imho.

I agree also,
I highlighted that part in red of my post,
Unfortunately we did not have that "new rule" when the bucks went to the Buck only sale thread. Like I said I am not trying to make you guys move, I am just posting why I voted for Buck to go to their own.
Good luck.

Wh4f, in my earlier post, I said that having our own FS forum would subdue the liveliness of activity. A quick visit to the Buck forum and the thread you started about this matter bears this out. DaggerBlade makes the remark that your own Buck FS area has led to "little or no activity". Not good. :thumbdn:

I would think it's a little like inbreeding. Isolation = No new blood, at least not as much.

"Remember that even though most of us pay for the privledge of using these forums we are still guests here."

Riiiiight.....

And if us "guests" were not paying to be "members" that might be a valid point..... No pay - no boards...... Polite guests or not......

That's right - guests eat free; Boarders help pay for the place.

But my point is how much activity did Bucks really have before the move?
When I did Buy my ATS-34 Zipper from Guyon it was on there (general sale thread)- for weeks- do Busse's have this same problem on here? If Busse moves to the Busse sale thread noone is going to go there?, and here is the Buck thread that you mention, read all of the posts, not just the one negative please, so far the good posts outweight the bad, not that daggerblade doesnt have a point mind you!!

I'll gladly concede that. I did read all the posts before I posted anything about it and all was very civil.

Great ! Great ! Great! You should have saved that for a valentine card:)

Guyon had a spyderco    :foot:

LOL Nope a Buck...

The other thing that needs to be looked at is the # of people that are involved in each brand on BF.
There are 7 members in the Buck forum right now as I type and 32 here in the Busse combat forum...
It is very hard to compare apples to apples with that kind of # difference,
And judging from the threads and posts here I think that may be the case at all times... (IMHO)
(there are 7 pages of threads in the Buck forum and 23 here in the Busse Combat)

whoops, i'll change it, i've been drinking already, and before church too :p

true, but the busse guys aren't afraid to pork anything or anybody, there's a lot of inbreeding going on here...

ok i looked and they ARE all cousins

and busse fans are growing in leaps and bounds each day. i do keep track and there are several new viewers each day and about half of those stay and repeat posts.

In the long run, I think a separate forum would probably be more of a liability than an asset. It would be convenient - at least in the short term, though.

There is a difference...a big difference...between desiring something and having it forced upon you.

When this whole foolish issue first came up, I jokingly referred to segregation.

I'm not joking now.

It's the only reason I voted no. I don't think such a move would necessarily hurt Jerry's business (or that of his relatives). I don't think such a move would necessarily hurt the price of the knives. I don't think such a move would help, in any material way, any of the other folks who frequent the BladeForums (the dynamism will probably sink -- some of the fun will evaporate). I do understand Rat F's point...

I've been around a long time. I do not like it when I see people dividing themselves. In the end, it causes nothing but trouble. I'm perfectly willing to put up with a very great deal of inconvenience before I'll willingly agree to divisions -- it's not like the forumites are at each others throats.

This is not my house. It's Spark's house. If he feels he has to take steps to keep order in his house, I'll try to 'man up' and make it work. This is a very nice house, after all, and I enjoy my visits and my 'remote talks' with each and every one of you (Bussites or not). In my mind, we're all equals and should stay that way...

I've had my say. Thank you for 'listening.'

i voted yes, thinking we would get our own forum and moderators for it. but if it is going to stay the same with the same rules, why seperate? i have never had to go past 3 pages to see all the new posts, and even if i had to , so what? the most popular & available knives will have more posts......it's like supply and demand....take two very similar knives by the same comany...Reeve. the small sebenza and the umfaan. lots of small sebenza posts, only a few umfaans. I don't want a small sebenza, i want an umfaan. by the time i find the umfaan post, it's sold. I WANT A SEPERATE SMALL SEBENZA FOR SALE FORUM SO I CAN FIND MY UMFAAN!
(notice i did not say i wanted a seperate umfanan section, which is what whoever thinks that busses "clogging" up the main forum should ask for, a forum of their own chosen brand if they so wish, like buck)
so i herby retract my vote for a seperate busse forum, sorry....carry on.....nothing to see here........btw, Valley Tin Works Rocks!
