Busse Viking Sword Preliminary Drawings!

Since traditional Norse swords came with a lobate pommel, that would be my preference.

Remember, the people were Norse, it's only when they went raiding that the name Viking
would apply.

I suck with photo edit.

But, I think "moden" guard with that "traditional" pomel would be a winner.

We have been drinking heavily in the name of finalizing the Viking Sword design. . . .

Not sure that we've gotten any closer but we're having a good time trying!!!

Sounds like you need another drink

Okay, this one got me to re-up my Bladeforums membership for the first time in a many years.
Please give it a long enough handle to get two hands on it! Or an optional upsell for one?
The classic pointy one with the flower pommel is awesome!
Something that fits right between the Gladius and the Butaniku would be perfect... like a viking long gladius!
The GullinBusse, a Wauseon rendition of the Gullinbursti "Golden Bristles pig" would be cool, but a BusSæhrímnir would be epic!!! Sæhrímnir translates as "Ever-present Pork"!

A three to six month time window would be very much appreciated for this one, I know Jerry said within the year some where, but this one will need some planning.
Agreed. A heads up on est timeframe would be great so I can make sure I have funds squirreled away for it

I just added a pic of a more traditional version . . .

The more modern version is what I envision the Vikings would be carrying today, as opposed to the more traditional model which is how our Viking ancestors would have made it back in the day!
