Busse vs Mora for Tomato Slicing Contest?

Rob,

Thanks for the video! The MOAB did much better slicing than I expected. For those who don't know, the MOAB is about .35-.40" thick compared to the SY Elmax 340 at .095".

Maybe I NEED a MOAB for the kitchen, since it can handle anything from small tomatoes to watermelons! ;)

Gene

This one is a smidge over .4". It's sharp and it slices, cuts, chops, batons, digs, prys and frightens. :)

It's highly likely that a Mora will slice tomatoes better than any Busse or Bussekin that I own, but I'd bet a lot of money that one of my ASH's will open a can of tomatoes faster and cleaner.

Thats IT!!!
Rob your a GENIUS!!!!
Now I know how to justify a MOAB to the wife!!!
"But I NEED it for the kitchen honey! It slices tomatoes, cuts, chops, and I can split a cantaloupe in one slice! Heck, it'll scare the cantaloupe into chunks!!!" :D

That's the beauty of a knife like this. You just wave it about and the work takes care of itself. Very little effort required. :D

Plus, whip out a Mora to show your friends and the reaction will be 'frrp'. Whip out a MOAB and it's 'HOLY F@#K YEAH ON RAISIN TOAST WRAPPED IN BACON!!! HOLD MY BEER...'.

That video is a beautiful thing, Rob--thanks for that demonstration.

BTW, it takes a REAL man to "whip out" a MOAB. :D You ARE da man!
