We will be offering the American Kensei 47 "AK-47" as well as the Skeleton Key through the end of September. . . hopefully not much longer than that. . . .
Many of our offers have been severely extended past their original anticipated time periods due to a couple of reasons. Primarily, we have been filling many mil. orders and have had to wait for breaks in the production schedule in which to fill our civilian orders. Secondly, from the beginning we anticipated, with the "limited time offer" system, that we would receive a flood of orders in the beginning and then expected the demand to taper down. . . The orders and demand for the Steel Heart and Satin Jack both started off way beyond our expectations and never did taper down. . .they were both still selling very strong, even at the end of the extended offer period. We will do our best to stick to our cut-off dates in the future in order to bring more models to the table and to speed-up deliveries for those who order early.
The AK-47 and Skeleton Key bring two models on opposite ends of the model spectrum for us in both size and price. It should be very exciting for both the collector and the user/abuser!!!
We are currently waiting on the arrival of some specially made G-10 material for optional handles on the AK-47 that was supposed to arrive nearly 3 weeks ago. Word is that it will arrive either tomorrow or Monday and we will know within hours whether it will be offered on the sword. That is the only delay at this time. I would hate to put the AK-47 up tonight and find out on Monday that we should have waited to give everyone a shot at this new material. So, stay tuned. . . we may put the Skeleton Keys up this weekend and add the AK-47s next week. . . . we'll have to see how it goes. . .
Here's a bit more info on the AK-47 blade finishes and handle options.
Blade Finishes will be coated ONLY! There will be no satin or double cut finishes offered. These finishes are available through the custom shop but will be nearly 3 times the price of the base model due to the enormous amount of time and trouble caused by these finishes on a sword.
AK-47 Blade Finish Options: (There will be an additional charge for the camo finishes)
Black
Desert Tan
Olive Drab. . . . . . . . . . . . (Replacing the brighter Jungle Green)
Urban Shadow Camo. . . . . .(Replacing the old style camo)
Jungle Shadow Camo. . . .. . (Replacing the old style camo)
Desert Shadow Camo. . . .. . .(Replacing the old style camo)
Handle Options: (Only the Black and Tan canvas micarta handles are standard. The other handle options will be at an additional charge)
Black Canvas Micarta
Desert Tan Canvas Micarta
Tiger Hide Canvas Micarta
Olive Drab Hard Anodized Aluminum
Black Hard Anodized Aluminum
An Unusual Black and Green G-10 (This one is still a "maybe")
Hope this helps with the waiting!!!
