let me offer my apologies to all who were offended by my earlier post.

In particular, I want to apologize to Mr Busse.

Sometimes I forget something my Dad said to me a long time ago. He said "you care too much, and it makes you angry." Busse makes great knives. I've never said they didn't. I have been looking forward to the Battle Mistress for a very long time, even before the Fusion variety was announced. So over the what is probably several years now, I've been getting increasingly frustrated waiting.

The maxim of "think twice, post once" certainly applies here.
I was not intending to come in here sounding like a troll. All I can say is, there's been a lot of bad stuff heaping up in my life over the past several months, and last night something just boiled over and I started to vent. But I vented at the wrong people, at the wrong time, in the wrong place. But that's no excuse, so again let me apologize to those whom I have offended. It won't happen again.

You know, you can always make a thread in the ''want to buy'' forum, for a straight handled or e-handled battle mistress instead of getting all hot and bothered waiting for the fusion :/

I know I get frustrated about things every once in a while. I always remember that I do things that frustrate others too.

I can understand all to well posting and speaking off the cuff like that. I admit that I am a hot head and have a bad temper at times. It takes a real man to step back into a crowd like this :D and admit you done wrong. Good on ya mate! :thumbup:

No harm, no foul. I should have probably had my wife review my post as well. This is just one of the many reasons we need women in our lives. ;)

The Fusion Battle Mistress should be here sometime this winter. Of course, in Ohio, that means sometime between now and July 4th.

I appreciate your posting an apology. Please feel free to join in our discussions whenever possible. We have a great group of guys over here, who nearly always handle things better than do I.

No problem. I got a size 14 foot. :D I appreciate you stepping up. As for what you posted, I have done this all to many times in my life and always remember them.

Found out when I get pissed, I grab a 1 or 2 liter bottle, fill with water, and grab a Louieville Bat and hit that thing like no other. That, or chop some 2x4's. I hope to see you around more and I too am waiting for that FBM. Just gives you something to look forward to in the future ;) :D

I'll be praying for you that your troubles will be taken care of....

Sometimes the "other" things goin on in our lives can show up in a post or two. When I get some major frustration goin on, I just look for one of Skunk's posts and edit the snot out of it.. ;) :p ...very theraputic.... :thumbup:

Be sure and stop back by. You will find that most of the jamokes here are very cool people (the rest are extremely cool.. ;) ) and we try and have a good time while trying to figure/guess what the heck is gonna come out of that demented mind in Wauseon.

It is really kinda like watchin Santa pull stuff out of his bag. While it may not be the "toy" you wanted this time, the one you want WILL be out soon, and the ones he brings out in the mean time simply shock and amaze.... :eek:

And god created the world in 6 days, but one of his days was 1000 of our years. And so it is with Busse wait. One of Jerry's weeks is about 4 months, so when he says TWO WEEKS that means 8 months. THREE WEEKS is about a year.

So if he quotes you a year, that means that you should be able to get it by the time you retire. :eek:
 
Yes, the wait can sometimes be agony....BUT I have never enjoyed being a customer of ANY company more than I have Busse Combat (I might have to put the Swamp in the same company :o ). Sharing the anticipation , learning about great knives and laughing a lot while reading this forum has made this fun. Great community here.

I understand the desire to hold out and save for the one knife you thought would be THE KNIFE TO END ALL KNIVES. My SFNO was supposed to be the last knife I ever bought. HA! A cool thing about Busse knives is that IF you had a chore that you could only see getting done with a Battle Mistress you could purchase a used earlier model Battle Mistress in the Exchange use it for a few years and then when the Fusion Battle Mistress comes out, you could go sell it for around what you bought it for. Sometimes more. We would be eager to learn of your experience with it here

The fact that my new Fusion Steel Heart took a couple extra months so military orders can go ahead isn't much skin off my back. I respect that.

So many other great Busse Combat knives coming out too :D. These are great days to be a customer of Busse Combat.

I feel your pain about waiting for an awesome knife, but I do want to give you props for coming in and "coming correct." I hope that things will get better for you.

I own four Rat's but have only just now started navigating the Busse forum as I've begun to feel a need for a Natural Outlaw. :rolleyes:

I just want to say that, as I've been reading, I've really grown to respect Jerry. Both for your views on the fulfillment of military orders as well as the passion for your craft. I "walked into the world" of SR/Busse expecting to be disappointed at what must surely be hype. Instead, I recognized something that wasn't hype but unbridled enthusiasm for the true performance of the blades from a knifemaker who enjoys what he's doing and cares about the product.

Thanks for doing what you do; I'm glad you guys are here. :D

BTW - Though I'm sure you know this already, Eric Isaacson does a great job over at the Swamp Forums. You guys are lucky to have him!
