Busses and Guns

I love my PSP. It's like Busse in the regard that you really can't understand it until you've used one.

Great article here: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2015/01/jeremy-s/heckler-koch-p7-is-the-best-pistol-ever/

.....I totally agree with you. Shot one about 20 years ago. Love it. Compact, precise, extremely well balanced. Should have picked one up before they became prohibited...... Beautiful gun!

Why are they prohibited now? I was reading up on it but didn't see that.

Thanks Andy and your right on the mag carrier I'm sure. There's a guy on FF that makes them it's a handy setup for sure. The scar's pretty light compared to the other battle rifles and very reliable. It's definitely lighter than my 91 setup.
..... yep same man. I just missed a range day here recently with the SCAR 16, 17 and the rest of the FN Military line up. To say I was annoyed is an understatement..!!!!

Did a little shooting and practice drills this morning, had already tossed my belt inside before I took pics. I'm really fond of the black/od green/coyote colors because it goes with so many different things. I have a pretty good camo collection for my area. Most of my gear and pouches are either Tactical Tailor or HSGI.

..... I would be taking a stab in he dark on Canadian law but my guess is barrel length.

Oh is Noxious Fumes Canadian? That would explain why I wasn't familiar with an US prohibition, thanks!

Definitely a hand gun I'm going to keep an eye out for!

It's steeply not on my favor. I'll be giving up a couple hundred dollars in value, but on a rifle I never get the chance to use.

I believe the trade off is worth it, as I can carry the psp every day.

Understand Timmy that the psp will not favor well in edc. It is super heavy for its size and the blued finish doesn't lend itself to carry and sweating and Minnesota. To have the gun can't be beat, to carry there are way better uses of money. This is my experience Timmy do what you wish, just know these points

I'll second that. It can be a sweet shooter, but, IMO, there's a reason other than just cost that they went the way of the dodo: reliability. It is a finicky system by its nature. At least that was my thoughts on it. And the one I have encountered in the wild bore that out. The only one I've ever seen shot in person was in an IDPA match, and it went hard down on the third stage, and the guy didn't get to finish. Now, in all honest, I have no idea what the maintenance regimen was for that gun, so it could have been stored for twenty years, after which the guy went in dry, so to speak. Who knows? But it was a disappointing encounter on my part, and forever cured me of my desire to pay big bucks just to own one.

....Andy is correct. It Is all about barrel lenght. 4.2 inches is the shortest barrel length legal for handguns in Canada. They article that the OP gives us a link to, states barrel length is 4.1 inches.

I recently wanted a Smith Wesson model 13..... Found out that they are 4 inches even.... 0.2 friggin inches too short!

A friend of mine has one and was able to keep it ..... Some weapons were considered ok to keep even after the , then new, law was passed. He was given a prohibited permit that allows him to keep certain weapons. Some of the other firearms that he had were confiscated for destruction...,,

Mmmmmmm ..... Just saw an add for one (HK P7) on sale in British Columbia. The add was from earlier in 2015..... Said it was restricted, not prohibited.....

.... It seems to be one of the smallest restricted firearms in Canada.... Found the info on Canadagunnutz.
My bad.

That's some good looking gear right here now. I'm liking your Ak too.

My new Ed Brown 5" 1911. I ordered this one in carbon steel, chainlink 1 checkering, naked slide (no roll marks), solid long trigger, gen 4 black coating and combat night sights. Took them just over 5 weeks from order to delivery.
Looks small next to the TGBG.
