Busses and Whisky

Just picked up a Barrell bottle that's finished in barolo wine casks, comprised of 14 and 18 year bourbons. Looking forward to trying it.

My wife picked this up for me and I was very surprised by it. I may have to pick up another bottle of this or three.

I also opened this one. It’s Bookers so it’s good, but the spice is different on this one and will take a few pours to get used to.



I’m starting to run low on Bookers…down to my last 14 bottles including the Little Books. I do hope more starts showing up on shelves around here soon.

Here is my poem as promised.

"Whiskey"

Her legs parting, desire stirring;

Languid coalescence, now

A glistening pool, honey-hued.

Her fragrance sharply-sweet,

Begs to be tasted, slowly savored.

Memories of wind-swept plains,

Between sheaves of golden grain.

Her warmth the heat of a hundred sunny days;

Distilled into ambrosial promise.

For her, nations have fought hidden wars;

Travailed across the oceans;

Sought alchemical guarantee.

But for those whom have met her in the evening,

Unassuming, soul naked, honest;

Time and again she has through one

Changed the course of worlds.

Her nectar lubricating the bard's tongue, the

Poet's quill, or bid the warrior sheathe his sword

And lie still.

Your eyes miss little, it is indeed, though to be fair any size is "fun-size" if your heart is in the work!
