40 bucks more vs standard vg10, and you get the killer upgrade to s35v......wow.......

To bash this even more it's priced at what a para2 in s45v is going for. BUT if you just have to rep tnp then this is a must buy.

The plain vg10 has taken such care of me I'm actually offended by this, come on Spyderco why do this?

The zdp 189 Endura is cheaper than this edition!

I don’t like Nutnin Fancy, but I understand why the price is higher: (1) S35VN is more expensive; (2) the steel has to be shipped from the U.S.; (3) the coating adds a bit of cost/time to the production; and (4), most importantly, Spyderco has to split the profits with Nutnin Fancy. I doubt either of them are making a killing off of this project.

I grudgingly purchased one of these because I’m an Endura fanatic and S35VN is an excellent steel (which I’d take over M390/20CV any day of the week, to take one example).

Perhaps I’ll try my hand at blasting off the silly TNP logo though!

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind owning one, mostly for the color combo and steel upgrade.
VG-10 is ok. I like S35VN better.

I’m NOT willing to pony up the $$$ though!

As for TNP, I watch stuff periodically for entertainment, though I can only take so much of his schtick at any given time. I enjoy seeing firearms put to the test, but frequently disagree with his taste and biases.
He’s also not a knife guy and has been known to endorse things that would get flamed as clones in these parts.

The real philosophy of use is preparedness. You know, on the off chance that you randomly run into him at a sporting goods store and he gear checks you on camera.

Yeah but for that, don't you have to fanboy up to him? If so, I am safe (notwithstanding the fact that I live like 3000 miles away from him lol)

I didnt even know he was still going, been years since I watched a vid of his.

He’s still doing knife content?

What's funny is that my EDC dwarfs his, even though he has a fanny pack, and he seems to think he's the ultimate in prepared (EDC gearwise). I do have an advantage, though. Big pants means bigger pockets and I have a lot of belt space. If he gear checked me, the video would still be running . . .
