But it's the TNP edition

Looks cool for sure. Black blade and hardware help make the scales pop a bit.

Not a bad knife by any means.

One thing about this line of knives I have never cared for is how easy the pocket clip paint comes off.
Paint on alot of the black clips i have from Spyderco have worn away for sure, takes some time, but they all end up like this:

I suppose I'm the only one who doesn't know who tnp is ?
I saw this out, thought about it. I have no issues with my current endura.
Just doesn't appeal to me at that price point.

If you type it into YouTube get ready for the rabbit hole.

I don’t like Nutnin Fancy, but I understand why the price is higher: (1) S35VN is more expensive; (2) the steel has to be shipped from the U.S.; (3) the coating adds a bit of cost/time to the production; and (4), most importantly, Spyderco has to split the profits with Nutnin Fancy. I doubt either of them are making a killing off of this project.

I grudgingly purchased one of these because I’m an Endura fanatic and S35VN is an excellent steel (which I’d take over M390/20CV any day of the week, to take one example).

Perhaps I’ll try my hand at blasting off the silly TNP logo though!
Agree the coating adds some (maybe $10-15 to the street price?), but the s30v Endura has been at $90 at KJ for awhile, and s35vn was designed to be cheaper/easier to manufacture than s30v. $110-115 would have been fair for all sides IMO

The real question is, how many ounces does it weigh? 😜 If you've ever watched a TNP video then you know that is a crucial factor.

I watched his videos a decade ago when he was one of the few knife channels out there, but as mentioned already his shtick quickly becomes tiresome. I stayed subscribed to him for years but rarely found any of his videos compelling enough to view. At some point, I guess he got into "watches" and started reviewing knock-off G-Shocks, which I found annoying. I finally unsubscribed when he started shilling Sebenza clones complete with an Amazon affiliate link, like he was doing people a favor. I'm usually not one to bash knife YouTubers, and I typically appreciate all of them for putting more knife content out there whether I am of fan of their channels or not, but that was the last straw for me as a subscriber to his channel.

I DO dig the knife however, and gave it some consideration when I first saw it. I'm a sucker for the lightweight Spydercos with funky colors in various steel configurations. In fact, although I once had a bit of an aversion to so called plastic knives, I've since come to realize that FRN/FRCP are the perhaps ideal materials for the utilitarian cutting tools that many Spydercos are. Some of these releases are hard for me to resist picking up. However these days it takes quite a bit more for me to get that "must have" feeling and purchase a new knife, so I believe I'll just admire this one from afar.

It's like "Rick, am I supposed to be making noises too, and flying planes back and forth across the desk? And why am I getting broccoli flashbacks from my infancy?"

I'll keep an eye out on the exchange for one. I love my Enduras. I like the color combo. Not sure how I feel about the TNP logo tho.

I liked Nutn when he first started. 15 minute videos that weren't bad. Then his ego got exponentially bigger when his channel started getting more views.
