made a purchase from mutter , paid via paypal .then mutter just refunded my payment saying he didnt recognize my address .
is he kidding ? ive bought many blades on here during the years , using same PP and same address ..,
wrote for me to send payment via PPFF , i sent it out via purchase protectio n which i paid the extra 54 bucks .. still this guy was insistent i pay FF, i was burned once before on a bark river some years ago ,,never again ,

watch someone named mutter ,,, smells fishy to me

So if I understand correctly this guy wanted you to pay via F&F and you paid via G&S. He refunded your payment thereafter. Could be a scammer, could be one of those folks who now think its okay to rip off PayPal because the government is now charging taxes on PayPal transactions. Either way sounds like a situation to avoid.

Seconding Triton, so the seller wouldn't take g&s and you sent it that way anyway?

What do you mean extra 54 bucks ? The 3% for PayPal ? Meaning you bought something for ~$1800 ?

Your message is impossible to understand, review before you post please.

The key question OP did not clarify is whether seller asked for F&F or G&S - seller has a right to ask for whatever and buyer has a right to not buy. If seller asked for F&F and buyer took it upon himself to add the G&S fee and pay G&S without prior approval, then the buyer is not abiding by the transaction agreement unless seller previously approved of that arrangement.

Moved several posts here, more fitting for the discussion.

I agree that, barring any BF rule to the contrary, buyers need to honor clearly stated payment conditions. However, sellers refusing to accept PP G&S (as required by their terms and conditions) is now becoming all too common it seems. Sellers who don’t want to pay PPG&S fees or end up with a tax liability can always add those included and projected costs to their asking price. Taxes and fees doesn’t justify ripping off PP. There are other pymt options for sending $$ if a seller wants to avoid taxes and fees and a buyer is content to send $$ to a seller with no recourse if a deal goes south.

Another for "Ignore." The argument that a seller only cheats EEEEEEEEEvil PP or the EEEEEEEEEEEvil USA is doubtful, at best.

Not a bad rule of thumb, but I still think the negatives are worth checking out. They aren't always what you'd expect.

I don't know the OP, but just by looking at the negatives, two of them look pretty bogus.
All three negative reviews seem pretty legit to me…

The most recent two negative reviews are because OP left negative reviews on other people’s accounts first… I’ve never heard of a seller on here handing out negative feedback to folks who didn’t even buy the knife that was listed for sale. What the heck?

Feedback shouldn't be left, by either party, if a deal didn't actually happen. If a deal didn't happen, but you still want to complain about something, that's what the GBU is for.

When I said bogus, I did not mean that they are not legit grievances, i meant they do not merit a feedback. Based on the current rules, they do not. That was in 2016, so it may have been prior to the change.

It happens, but that too is not enough to warrant a feedback with the current rules.

I am not defending the OP by any means, I don't know him.

I am just saying that even a negative is sometimes worth a further look. I have seen others accidentally leave a negative instead of the deserved positive.

Ten-Four my man. I agree 100%.
