Buying a Delica: Pink, or purple?

Wow! Twenty posts in and nobody chimed in with "get 'em both." You guys are slipping. Seriously though, i hear the pink one is much better suited for removal of (( my sense of humor )). :)

I don't get it. Are you asking for our thoughts on what color we think you should like better?

You like pink? Get pink.
You like purple? Get purple.

i see someone posted my thoughts exactly, if i were to elaborate id say that way way too many people get hung up on (( smart remarks that do not impress my sense of humor ))

how a tool should appear to the jury

I have practiced law for 18 years, and not once have I ever seen anyone convicted of a crime committed with a knife covered in Sponge Bob stickers.

Honestly, not once.

This tells me that jurors are sympathetic to defendants who are into Sponge Bob. So whether you go with a pink or purple Delica, slap on a Sponge Bob sticker and you pretty much have a free pass in the courtroom.

:D:D:DThe whole thing brings up an interesting question...if a guy should feel OK about getting a pink knife (and why shouldn't he...its just a color for pete's sake)...then how come everytime somebody asks about getting a knife for his wife/gf...he wants to get a pink one?!?

If I picked out a knife for my wife based solely on color (especially pink!), she'd be insulted and stab me with it.

the OP says end of discussion for wanting pink and purple, as if no one would understand why he'd want either color, but he then wants us to pick which color he likes better. it makes no sense to me.

Funny thing is, all the girls in the picture who I've dated, hung around with, or trained wanted black knives. Or in a few cases, gray or olive drab. They want to SEE my pink ESEE by all means and giggle about it, but they usually ask if it comes in bare steel or black. I've also had the guys who refused to even touch it, even after they asked to borrow a knife...Amazing how a color can sociologically impact people, whether it's rejecting a gender identity or being conditioned to avoid it. Being a sociology major, it's part of my gimmick.

ADD: I was avoiding the usual question of 'Dude...pink knife?' and instead getting people focused on the choice of pink or purple. I'm impartial...hence asking what people think. End of discussion means avoid my being being a girly man, and focus on pink versus purple.

it makes no sense to me.

He says in post #17 that "I'm simply a bit weird . . . and [it] . . . gets a laugh."

Being weird is, in my view, the most desirable and useful trait a Bladeforums member can possess. I anticipate that Knifestyle will have a long and productive association with Bladeforums.

'Scool. Its a good question/topic. Should have just posed it outright!

I think you were just messing with us with one of those "college boy" 'speriments! :D

Colours like pink, purple, and white just look better on females.

Would you wear a pink coat?

What, some slack-jacked kid coming online to ask guys with knives older than he is to 'consider' a concept? I felt it'd be too self assured, preferred just sticking with a usual comparison question that was a real decision to male. While Sociology punks would make great trolls, it was indeed just being awkward. And I really am stuck between these two colors, sociological impact aside.

LMAO. i think i have a handy manny or cars sticker around, i love the idea. This is a reverse bunny trick. When the police want to "interrogate", they have been known to dress in a pink bunny suit and use a rubber hose to ENCOURAGE compliance. 'BUT jUDGE, THE PINK BUNNY DID THIS TO ME!" .... (ok, i will stop rambling). Pick the purple knife.

No! I'd be scared that bullies would come and beat me up!

Heck yes, I'd wear one. I just happen to find black more slimming and easy to maintain in winter.

Hey now...us older fellas are plenty capable of "considering a concept". For a while at least...then we get sleepy.

Naturally, my comment was made in jest. All in good fun I assure you.
