Buying a knife online

I've purchased several knives online. Most recently a Benchmade 710.

I bought the 710 from yourcornerstore (dot) com and it took about 2-3 weeks for delivery. In my opinion this was too long to wait for a knife that should have been shipped within a week.

I'm looking for suggestions for sites where I can buy knives online both reliably, and quickly.

Thanks guys, in advance

I'm going to move this from General Knife to FEEDBACK, where we post dealer evaluations.

I suggest two kinds of sources for good knife-buying experiences. One is our own Exchange forums here, trade or buy. We have very few problems with the people selling here, especially if you ask questions and get all the details cleared up before committing.

Look over our trade and sales threads and you'll get a feel for what you'd like the seller to show you.

The other sources are the many, many reliable and competitive dealers online, so my short list is far from exhaustive:

www.1sks.com
www.edcdepot.com
www.knifeworks.com
www.knifecenter.com
www.newgraham.com
www.ragweedforge.com

go to the index, then click on for sale by dealers.

support forum dealers. I happen to love new graham and knife works.

We all have a nice list of reputable knife dealers we like to use but there is a pretty good consensus that you can't go wrong with:

Newgraham
Knifeworks
Spydercovt

No disrespect to any I left off . . .

Oftentimes, online resellers do not hold many knives in inventory (if any), what they do is wait for an order, and then get the knife drop-shipped from a stocking dealer.

If you are happy with the prices and can afford to wait, nothing wrong with that.

I just ordered from YourCornerStore and got my two Spydercos in 2 days using the cheap $7 USPS delivery option. I'll shop there again for sure. Everyone else wants $10+ to ship and knife deals not as good.
