Hi,
I am looking to purchase the Dragonfly VG10 and I see it on Amazon for $20.00 cheaper that ANY other on-line retailer. Can I purchase new Spydercos on Amazon with confidence??
Thanks!

Yes, I would make sure your buying from an amazon fulfilled vendor (or atleast a vendor with tons of good feedback) but as long as you do that it should be fine.

With all the options don't risk buying from an amazon seller with less than 95% positive.

Just an FYI a mod will probably move this thread to the feedback section if your looking for it later.

I've never personally purchased a knife from Amazon, but if I did I'd probably only go with sold and fulfilled by Amazon. However, I hear Amazon's return policy is pretty good so even if you're sent someone's returned knife, you can send it back easily within 30 days.

I've bought most of my spydies from the 'zon. GB, Nilakka, Dfly, PM2, Caly 3.

I've bought a lot of knives from Amazon and usually all is well. But Amazon has a really simple and easy return mechanism, and I suspect that 1 or 2 knives I've bought have been returns. Just slight imperfections and beat up boxes. But I've never returned any of them (except a combo edge ZT 350 that I must have bought after a couple too many vodkas).

No one can beat Amazon's prices...not even Knife Works.

Well KW isn't necessarily the cheapest Spyderco dealer though their prices are in line with most BF dealers, but I do support them being they have great CS, I know I'm getting exactly what I ordered, they are a BF dealer, and they can get orders to my house the day after I order them.

Actually, many places beat Amazon prices. I go to Amazon to find out proper specs and information, then use something like Google Shopping to find a cheaper price. My recliner was listed at $260 on Amazon at the cheapest. I ordered it from elsewhere for nearly a hundred dollars less, with free shipping and no tax. Amazon is very hassle-free though, and one can easily get into the mindset of it being the "go to" place to buy items online.

The only issue I've run into was with my Caly 3 cf/zdp. It had no paperwork and was slathered in oil. Otherwise it was fine. It literally was dripping in oil, enough to run a diesel VW for 100 miles.

I have bought some knives off amazon and they are all legit. I just try and stick with amazon prime products. Or if its not prime make sure the seller has good feedback

Good to go, but I would mention that if you can find a sponsor from the site you should give them consideration. Without them we probably would not be typing on this page.

I order knives from Amazon all the time with no issue. If you order through one of their 3rd party dealers I'd make sure they had a high rating before I ordered though.

I have bought quite a few knives from Amazon too.

I find that it takes them a while to get newer knives in stock and that they don't always have the best prices on the newest ones either.

However, knives that have been around a while usually have better prices than the newer ones do.

I just purchased a CRKT My Tighe Knife Three days ago cheaper than any other place and i Received it this morning, very satisfied with the service, i had purchased other items in Amazon before without any problems.

I just recently got a Delica 4 for $53 delivered, an Endura for $58 delivered, and this week a Sage 1 for $107. I'm not saying that you can't stumble up on cheaper prices but it certainly isn't too easily done.

Amazon is a great place to buy Spydercos......they sell them for $2 over dealer cost. Pretty soon, it will be the only place you can buy them lol
