This is such an incredible knife pictures can't begin to show it off. If anyone is thinking about this one JUST BUY IT!

Thanks so much to the Busse Crew! Awesome knife!!

BTW, if anyone wants to post pics in here that would be nice!

Congrats man, those are some awesome pics. But their soooo Pretty! :)

Wow! Some awesome steel there, and great pics, too. Congrats.

Maybe since you can't get the pics to do it justice, you should do a passaround with it? All 3 would be nice, too, just so we get a good comparison. I'll be first. :D

As much as I don't like the CG offering, the LE is quite appealing to me. It's a great looking knife! I probably would have snagged one if there wasn't a premium for the LE number, just the same blade, minus the LE. Congrats!

Thanks guys:thumbup:

230 - I don't know what part of the LE is not just a number you don't seem to understand. The price was fair.

Except it IS just a number. Look at the price difference between the SAR8 SE and LE's, both of which had the same quality edge and fit and finish. The only practical difference in terms of knife use was the price and number engraved on the blade.

MM, with all do respect you are 100% wrong. If you are not able to distinguish a difference between the BWMCG and the BWMLE then you have not looked at them. Did you see me mention anything about the SAR8:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

MM, with all do respect you are 100% wrong.

You ARE confused - you are completely misinterpreting my point, and 230's for that matter.

With LE knives, you pay a price premium for a number. If that same knife is then released as a satin SE, you can often get the exact same knife, without the number, for less money.

There has been no SE of the BWBM, so you either buy the thinner CG with the different grind, or pay extra for a number. If you are using the knife, the number is meaningless from a practical application standpoint, so you either jump on the LE and waste some bucks, or you sit around and HOPE that an SE or satin CG version will eventually be released.

Look here MM, you and 230 need to slow down. There is a CG and LE available. Pick one, pick both or pick neither. Just don't run around acting like the LE's are worthless overpriced ordinary junk with a meaningless number.

Thank you for your respect.

I think in the case of the SAR8, for all intents and purposes, your point is valid MM. That's why I sold my LE and just kept the black paper SE. But I think in this instance there is a significant enough difference in the knives design to say they are not comparable. Just the simple fact of having a satin finish adds around $100 to the price. I would dare say also that all LE's have more QC than their SE counterparts. I have had LE's and satin SE's of NMFBM, NMSFNO, SAR8, SFNO, and Meaners and I can say that there is just a little more attention given to LE models. So you are not only paying for a # although having that number does add some to the price.:D

Thanks guys:thumbup:

Umm what? I wasn't even trying to stir trouble! I'm saying I would pay extra for LE features on a non numbered knife. For instance, I would pay extra for a satin finished full zero convex NMFBM LE, but not more money on top of that for it to be "limited".

LE features, full production. Limited production = more money as it has more collectors value because of the number.

That's what I like to do whenever possible. In fact, most of the knives I have are satin, non-numbered, with the exact same dimensions as their LE counterpart. Funny thing is they seem to be more rare than the actual LE version of the same thing.:D

230grains and MM

Except that it's:

1.) Thicker (.220" vs. .187" with the coating)
2.) Satin finished. I highly doubt that the CG is satin finished under the coating.
3.) Offered with BP micarta
4.) Made with more attention to detail.
5.) A Limited Edition... Which means that it, like all the LE's, will never be offered like this again, period.

While one might pay a little more for an LE overall, and I guess that would include the LE number too, it's not nearly the dramatic difference that you are making it out to be. This LE version is freakin' sweet and IMO, worth every penny.

What is with you, man??? :thumbdn: Really, I think that you need to relax and stop with all the negativity here. Let richstag savor the moment showing pix of his his sweet knife and stop bringing folks down with your negative comments. THIS model has a CG version, so LET those who decided to spring for an LE version enjoy their BWMLE, OK? Sheesh... Gimme a break.

richstag, those are freakin' great shots, man!! :D:thumbup: Thanxx for posting them! Congrats on your LE!
And... Forget the naysayers, brother! I hope that'cha enjoy your BWMLE to the fullest!! :):)

(I see that Amy beat me to it... THANK YOU, Amy!!)
