Thanks Amy for taking care of me on the BWMLE, you are the best!

Jaxx - Nothing could bring me down off of the high that this knife has produced but thanks for the cheerful words anyhow:). It is one of a kind and has that "handmade" feeling to it. It is out of this world:thumbup:

No................... YOU ARE THE BEST:):)

+1 nice pix. Appreciate the spine and belly angles, and the close ups of the handles. LE prices are steep, but it looks like they give you a pretty good knife in return. Sure you can get good stuff if you travel to one of the big shows, but travel expenses add a lot to the show price.

Oh come on guys, 230 basically said he loved the LE and would like to have an SE so he can save a few bucks, and richstag jumped down his throat saying he doesn't understand anything, then I tried to explain what 230 meant, because I share the same thoughts, and my throat got jumped down too.

It's not complaining or derailing threads or even negativity, it's a simple statement that we like a knife and would like to save a few bucks by not paying extra money for a number - if an SE were offered, we could in fact save those bucks.

And to act like we are idiots that don't understand the difference between the CG and LE is not only offensive, it's downright ridiculous. Of course we understand the difference, we are simply saying that a third option, with the features of the LE but without the "limited" to drive up price, would be cool. That's it.

Stop blowing stuff out of proportion and making it out to be a bigger deal than it is. Amy, if that means I "complain" too much, then so be it, I'm frankly getting tired of being singled out for daring to have an opinion and not just sitting here praising every single thing Jerry does. If that's my last warning and you want to ban me for it, fine, but I have gone out of my way to be civil in stating my preferences and been treated like crap by multiple people for doing so.

I love the knives, but I am not a blindly loyal fanboy. Wouldn't want to allow that, now would we?

Mine will be on the way soon, and I am so looking forward to them! ...And your pix are making me...well drool with anticipation!! LOL ;) :D:thumbup::thumbup:

Seriously, You got some great shots of 'em here!:thumbup:

Also, the pictures are AWESOME, and the knives are AWESOME. The CG version has quickly become my favorite knife, and I expect the LE would be much the same, if I could afford it.

Thanks Jaxx, I hope you are as happy with yours as I am with mine:thumbup:

I'm with Amy on this one. . .

I am more than done with the negative crap that has filled this forum lately.

It is only coming from a few, so either keep it light or you are GONE!

Stop throwing wet towels on other people's excitement and threads.

If you are confused by this, feel free to call the shop and I will be more than happy to explain it to you in person!

Thanks! Now, let's get back to drinking!

Cheers,

Jerry
:D

Thanks Ank:)

Did you beat on it yet, get it all scratched up like it's supposed to be from chopping up stuff and battening through all kinds of different things. :D

It really is a sweet looking blade man.:cool:

I think he's going to have to get pretty drunk before he beats that beautiful Mistress up. :D

This has nothing to do with being a "fanboy" . . . It has to do with being ill-mannered.

Still confused? Read your post above and ask yourself if this really belongs in a thread where a guy is excited to show off his newest knife.

Email me your phone number or call me directly and we'll discuss this.

Jerry

My post's tone was directly in response to Rich's tone attacking 230 - having been a recipient of that tone many times around here, I made the mistake of coming to someone's defense who I think was being attacked unfairly for basically lamenting that he couldn't afford such a gorgeous knife.

I don't have any desire to call you and discuss this, because I think it's just a knife forum and just someone getting bent out of shape over a simple statement, that, while perhaps not worded the best, harbored no ill intent.

You are right, though, that this has no place in rich's thread, but since he was the one who jumped down 230's throat, I don't feel terribly bad for him either.

There's really nothing to discuss, though - we happen to disagree on the appropriateness of my response, and I don't think I could convince you otherwise with a phone conversation, so I'd rather just let the issue rest. If that is the way my posts will be (wrongly, IMHO) interpreted, I will limit myself to "gee whiz, nice knife" posts. It's not worth a real life phone call for a couple posts in a knife forum - my intention was never to create any drama or be a negative influence, so I'd rather just let it die. If you still want to discuss it when BLADE rolls around, we'll talk about it over a couple of beers.

You got my number pretty quickly 762:D

Here is my thing now, I just started using my ASHLE and carrying it with me. Now I get this one and it just feels like it could take the place of the ASHLE (for the woods). It is that well balanced to me. I will see what happens:)

I am happy for you man.

Sounds like you are gonna get a lot of use out of it and that's great. :D

Gonna have to post pictures when you beat on it though and tell us how it does. :)

The more I mess around with mine the more I agree. It may not out chop a CGFBM but it is one great all-rounder. I have always been a huge fan of the NMSFNO but I am starting to think this one will take it's place. It just has such a good feel to it. I think you put it best when you said it has a hand made feel. I can't find one thing I don't like about this knife.:thumbup:

Ok Rich, I'll level with ya, I've got a FBMLE just like yours I've had for a couple of months. I get it out and just admire it. I'm also going to have to get pretty drunk before I beat her up. :D There I layed my cards on the table also. So we're in the same boat my friend. I guess now its my turn huh! ;)

I love Busse knives. I love this forum. So I respond to the Boss's comments with a little trepidation!

I agree with Amy and Jerry that this is not the right thread to be raining on the parade of a man with a beautiful new knife.

However, I also think this forum is better because of the contributions of people like Mustard Man and 230grains. They tell us what they think, which is one of the reasons I spend so much time here. The other reasons are the knives and the comraderie. There are many Internet forums where honesty kills comraderie. Not so here.

Anyway, back to drinking. Maybe I've had too much. In vino veritas, right?
