I just got home from work, and I read the thread there on my phone on break. Wow, just wow. I think I might be in an alternate universe. Anyone see sliders? quantum leap? twilight zone? This is like an episode were you enter into a new realm and every single person totally misconstrues every word out of your mouth and eventually they're at your house carrying torches and pitchforks because of someone misunderstanding what you said.
I posted complimenting Rich on his knife, I think the BWM LE looks absolutely stunning and perfect. It's expensive, maybe not for many, but that's a lot of money for me to spend on a knife. I simply said that I would have loved to see a cg satin offering or SE without a LE number, which would in fact drive the price down a little bit. I totally understand you're not just paying for an LE number, which is why I said I'd like to see a version (like the sar 8 SE compared to the LE) with the same style blade/thickness/finish, that wasn't a super limited numbered run. Part of, NOT ALL OF the cost of a LE edition blade is the fact that it is limited, the same goes for any limited numbered item. That's not a knock on the knife, or the people who buy them/collect them. I wish I had the $$ to collect LE knives, they're awesome.
I'm just totally flabbergasted right now at the fact that my post COMPLIMENTING someone on their knife got taken so far out of context that Amy and Jerry are threatening to ban me. Seriously? I was maybe five minutes from ordering the LE blade off the site while I can still get it because I love the knife that much and all these pics were making me jealous. Wow.
Honestly, if anyone from busse wants to call me so I can tell them to their face that I really love the LE bushwacker mistress, feel free. No the CG was not for me, it was a little too thin for my liking, but the LE edition seems perfect for a lighter mistress alternative. It's a shame I won't be picking up an LE blade now and I'm missing out on a hell of a knife. Honestly, I'd love to go to blade as well, and was considering putting some money together to do so so I can go nuts at the Busse table and head back to the woods of NH with lbs of steel, but I can just picture myself getting stabbed with a freakin' MOAB for someone misunderstanding what I said. "Hey man, that's a sweet car, I wish I could afford one" and the response would be "Did you just insult my wife? She's a good wife!"
Honestly I'm sorry if anyone feels I was being disruptive, Jerry and Amy, sorry for liking your LE bushwacker, Rich, sorry for complementing you on your new knife. Atleast now I know I'm not welcome in any of the threads here. Now I know that everything I post is going to be somehow taken in a negative light, even a compliment. Thanks.
Rich, honestly i'm sorry for inadvertently derailing your thread, I will stay out of them from now on. That's a great looking knife, seriously. Enjoy it. Sorry again, this really wasn't my intention.
