Hi

Just wondering if anybody else has had problems communicating with C.Edmondson?
He made me a bowie and i paid for it and he sent it to me, but it did not arrive, so i asked for the tracking nr to see where it was and where it was lost etc. After asking a few times got a non working number, and i dont know what was up with that, but Charlie kindly made me another bowie that he sent 2015 12 17 and it did not arrive either.

So i asked again for a tracking nr to see where it was lost etc. And since that Chalie has said like 5 times that he will sent me the tracking nr, but there is always some problem and he sends no tracking nr, he says he in the post office and will sent it when he gets home etc, or wife has the tracking nr and he will send it to me this afternoon etc, and of course no tracking nr shows up that afternoon. I just think its wierd that two knives are lost without a trace and no tracking nr is to be found. I just want a tracking nr to see that it was sent to me etc.

If the bowie gets lost in the transport Charlie is not to blame and i would just chalk it up as bad luck and get on (although sad it was a really nice bowie) .Charlie is a nice guy and make a stellar bowie but the lack of tracking nr and all the exuses is annoying at least. Im i bitching to much. Cheers

Here is a pic of the beuty.

Rut row, it was the wife! At the post office! With a candle stick!

Charlie is a stand up guy. I have bought two Bowie's from him. He is a full time shift worker at a municipal utility and only a part time maker. His prices are reasonable and his quality is great. If you buy a custom knife you get to deal with talented artists not full time businessmen.

He responds best to texts.

Yeah Charlie is a great guy, and makes hell of a bowie but this is wierd, two knives just dissapeared both the original one and the replacement, and the last bowie was shipped for over two month ago and i have not recived it nor a tracking nr. And I dont mind waiting, the knife was ordered in late 2014 but when someone says that the knife has been sent i at least expect to get a tracking nr in two month. If the bowie is lost in transit im ok with that, just want to know.

That all may be true, but doesn't sound too stand up in this situation. Sounds like a buyer paid for a knife and after quite some time, still has no knife and no information.

Just to make it clear i dont think that Charlie in any way is scamming or fooling me, im just little irritated about the lack of comunikation and the lack of intrest about the lost knife.

This one is troubling. I can't see him doing this; but it seems he has. If true, there does not seem to be a reasonable excuse for the lack of communication and tracking info. It is not like sending a knife to a customer is something he has never done b4. Surely he would keep tracking info. Hope this works out.

Hey everyone, I am the maker in question, I feel horrible about this , customs has rejected one knife and it was never returned and I've made another one that's on its way. Anyone is always available to call me 256-252-9478. This will be solved soon and knife will be delivered. I do apologize again and I'll do whatever it takes to make it right. Please remember I also work at a water plant on call, I'll keep everyone posted to the oitcome

^ words of a decent guy. OP didn't mention international shipping involved.

That is kind of why we ask for details

This is one of the reasons why so many people refuse to deal internationally, meaning from North America to another continent. The buyer should know what is legal and illegal in their country, and due their due diligence with customs if something gets seized, that surely cannot always be the sellers fault, IMO.

It's always a pleasure to see someone respond positively and ensure to make it right. This is the type of maker I want to work with, notwithstanding the unfortunate situation.

I thought sweden in my location was enough for peapole to undertand internl shipping was involved. I said charlie was not respnsible for any loss when shipping, i was only irritated over the lack of communication.

Yes and i have bought dozens of knives from us, never a problem with customs at all. And a knife lost in transport is not the seller fault, all i wanted was being kept updated. And as i said , Charlie is a great guy.

Charlie now has contacted me, and explaned what was wrong with the shipping, post office thing. He is a stand up guy and i feel bad about starting this tread, i should have called him on the phone and sorted it out.

Would have been nice if the OP informed everyone that it was an international transaction. And a few of the things Charlie mentioned.
I am glad that CE is on top of things and a stand up guy. CE love your knives brother.
And, yes - just another reason why a lot of people do not like doing international.

Unlike you, the OP does list his location in the upper right hand corner. A quick glance up there would have alerted you that this was probably going to be International shipping.
