Cabela's Alaskan Guide Series 110

Yep Chickentrax, thanks...
Paint stripper is about as handy as I can get :)
I plan on getting the Alaskan but am curious about the Cabela's other two 110s on their site:
What about that Pro-Line? What's the diff besides the FG and price?
Thanks Again...

:D ...The AG versions have the S30V steel while the Pro Line has the 420 HC...Both good steels but the S30V is mucho better...IMO...and just about everyone else's too...LOL...:D

It is my understanding that the Cabela's "PRO-LINE" also entitles the owner to a "free" lifetime sharpening from Buck Knives bonus. If you buff out the etching, Buck will not be able to tell that the knife is deserving of the "free" sharpening. Now, the "free" sharpening cost is actually built into the original price but most of the general public does not take that into consideration.

Thanks Larry and Darryl ("Hi! My name is Larry. This is my brother Daryl and my other brother named Daryl..."),
I have ordered an Alaskan 110.
This will by my first Buck EDC with non-440 so I am really looking forward to it!!!
Paint stripper ready at hand...
Me.

Not quite like Mike's...Don't have any paint stripper or a way to blast of the TiAN, but found another way to get rid of at least the Cabela's logo.

Actually, the logo isn't too bad to me...maybe I'll just give it a day or two until I decide.

Also, for Roloss, hope I got that right, here is a pic of my Vaquero Grande and 692. The Cold Steel is pretty much a novelty...what ya going do with that? And the 192 is a great all around tool for EDC and camping. I'd use it more if I had a leather sheath.

My EDC search has resulted in my realizing that I can't find my fixed Alpha and Ken Onion Assisted. Even if I find 'em I won't post 'em...like someone else's baby or vacation pics, it's all in the eyes of the beholder.

Hope ya all have a great weekend...

mfinden,

GOTTA LOVE THAT BANDAID:D  :D. What did it do cut its self shaving:confused:. Great work. Preston

Ha Ha...yeah, I thought it would work temporarily until I scrape/strip it off.
It was good to hear the cousin of Beagle Bailey bark...something was being delivered...and it was way too early for the US Mail.
Glad you got a kick out of the bandaid. It gave me a chuckle when I thought of it...

After a breakfast of scrapple and eggs, sitting around ready to watch the Seahawks beat the Steelers.

Last night I was at a party with some fellow Motorcycle Enthusiasts...I was slicing kielbasa, beef, and some chicken like butter with my new Alaskan 110. Really glad I got one.

I'm gettin' a bit poodle eyed...I love this country!!!

BTW: Peeps that have seen the logo on the Alaskan blade seemed split about 50/50 on its' looks.

Cabelas could take advantage of smart marketing by placing paint stripper displays next to Alaskan 110 displays in thier stores. Would save us a trip to the hardware store.
