On account of some schedule conflicts, we had to move the next California Bush Bash gathering to the weekend of October 23-25. The location will be the same spot in Sequoia National Forest (above Visalia) kindly identified by lambertiana. Directions can be found under the Bush Bash I posts in the W&SS Calendar sticky.

We apologize for any inconvenience that may result from this change and hope that it will help a few more folks attend. The last gathering was a heck of a lot of fun (there was a thread with many pictures back in May) so we hope to see you there!:D

Wow...um...yea...I want to spend a bunch of quality alone time in the woods with that crew. ;)

There actually were some women and children present---and they survived!:) You are welcome to attend and would (probably) also make it back OK.;)

I already have a fire permit and there's a fair amount of wood in the area. We had no problems last time.

Already got it on the calender... Hey Jason bark like a dog .... Now bark like a bigger dog lol.... Yea we were a wild group John had to use the gun to keep us under control....

But seriously it was lots of fun. On the second night we got to sit by a fire. The first night it rained cats and a few dogs.
Can some one find the direction that John posted the first time.. They were spot on.. Jason that road is begging for a bike ride nice twisty road and views are more then worth it.

Hmmm... We might be able to make that! Hopefully we'll be able to stay the weekend too this time.

Don't worry you won't be alone with us crazies, there was plenty of women and children to keep us in line last time.

Hey! I should be able to make this one! granted I'll have to drive up friday afternoon/evening(recruits qualify on fridays:barf:)
But I'd love to get away for a weekend.
Is there a place to shoot up there?

Yes, there's a safe place to shoot very nearby.

And nobody is going to be fooled when you ask: "The usual dollar a round bet?":D

OH COME ON!!!!!!! spoil all my fun! I'll be bringin at least one AR and a couple pistols with a whole lotta rounds:D

If you could sneak one of those electric gatling guns into your trunk, I would be really excited! And I haven't shot a 50BMG sniper rifle in a few years either....

Actually, there's not enough distance to "let the Big Dog run"!;) I'm not sure there's an easily accessible spot to shoot more than a couple hundred yards---but my memory could be faulty and lambertiana may correct me.

Sasha - Bark like a dog? I'm more picturing (get it out of my head!) a squeal like a pig incident. :) Joking aside it does sound like fun. Bet that would be a great ride too.

Count me in. Unless some family scheduling conflicts arise, I'll be there.

I'll try to bring my mtn bike and a few guns too.

Yes, I'm also thinking about bringing my mountain bike. I'll have to do some research on trails in the area.

Never mind, found it. How kid safe is this really going to be? Mike, is your younger son going?
