Appreciate your coming back and addressing that. I have no problem with 40--can think of 8 models I've owned over time--but it is almost never seen in a 1911. The ultimate for me would be 10mm and more of a "copper" tone to the TiN as opposed to "gold." Not sure if that's even possible, but FWIW...and I know people who've had to shoot "hard" targets with handguns. I'm told the 10 is the only pistol caliber that can compare to 357 or 44 for penetration in that scenario. I know it sure slams deer.
The very reason FBI went to the 10mm hard cover. Also the same reason HK made a MP5/10 in 10mm it gets the job done.
Good thing to note that because it is a 40 breach face. Simply changing the recoil spring and barrel and I'm behind a 10mm 😈😈😈
