California smog 1911 pictures added

Appreciate your coming back and addressing that. I have no problem with 40--can think of 8 models I've owned over time--but it is almost never seen in a 1911. The ultimate for me would be 10mm and more of a "copper" tone to the TiN as opposed to "gold." Not sure if that's even possible, but FWIW...and I know people who've had to shoot "hard" targets with handguns. I'm told the 10 is the only pistol caliber that can compare to 357 or 44 for penetration in that scenario. I know it sure slams deer.

The very reason FBI went to the 10mm hard cover. Also the same reason HK made a MP5/10 in 10mm it gets the job done.

Good thing to note that because it is a 40 breach face. Simply changing the recoil spring and barrel and I'm behind a 10mm 😈😈😈

I'm just not a 40 person overall, there's only 1 gun to me that just seems acceptable in a 40, and that's a Hi Power :)

But, 180gr subs shooting suppressed, I could get behind a 40.

Can we get a close up of the front strap?

I will take some pictures when I get home.

Very Nice....I'm a .45 guy built quite a few and done considerable mods for some local PD officers...I think a few would like this one because it's a .40.

One of my favorites . It actually was my #1 for a while but the glock 32 (.45) is so compact and so accurate it took my #1 spot for now , although I believe there is a compact 1911 now , need to get my hands on one

Hey Mikey....Check out Detonics...I have couple because they fit in my back pocket.....45's....They started back in the late '70's then went out of business...came back in and out a couple of times...different ownership but the combat master is mucho compact.

I'd get one of those again in a heart beat! One of the best 1911's I've ever owned.

There is no way I would part with either of mine....I have one very well used that I carry when I do long bike rides (sturgis etc) and one Stainless that is pristine...saving it for my golden years!!! Awesome little .45's

Very nice pistol anyone would be proud to own, let alone be the builder. Great work.

And I love the DMW parts on my Benelli, so thanks for those too :D

Any gun you build is awesome!

I "built" an AR and it was a fun experience,...yes, I know, not the same.

Nice pistol.

But why 40s$w.

SO very Nice!

Love that you have it in 40! I love my 13 different .40 handguns haha! But LOVE my Para Limited Canadian TF-108 model in .40 best of all! Even have my Busse slabs on her! Just wish I had the skills to build one! I bow to the game!

Great work!
