Just nabbed off the bay is this Schrade Walden 225H Bowie Hunter, an open stock knife, 5.3 inches closed.

Plus this minty little 832, the open stock version of the 34OT at 3.3" closed.

Yes it is, Charlie. It came with an 8x10 glossy photo of Herman in his shop, holding the knife and autographed to me. It is special to me.

Sometimes on the bay you get hoodwinked, but sometimes you come up with a big pie eat'n grin when you open the package. This one is a gem! 1968 Schrade-Walden 127UH with serial number #00783, and baby, it's mint! This is one of the few early ones with the extra wide covers, and fits the hand more like a fixed blade than a folder. I'm still grinnin'!

Here compare the thickness between this early S-W model on the right and one from about 10 years later. The covers are much darker on the older one, too.
